We only spent one night on our trip, but we'd stay there again. Jon was a great host and offered us steaks to cook on the grill for a very reasonable price since we were tired of eating out. The steaks were delicious and we enjoyed eating outside on the deck and watching the deer and wildlife with a glass... More

We enjoyed a great night sleep in a lovely room, awoke to a delicious breakfast and then took a beautiful walk around the property to the river. Our only wish is that we had planned a longer stay! Our host, Jon was amazing. He checked in with us the day before our arrival and gave us lots of ideas for... More

Quiet with a pond in the back. Paddleboats are available as well as fishing rods to drop a line. My grandchildren loved looking for fish. Room was comfortable and clean. Deck outside as well as hot tub. Best place to stay in Salmon.

Middle of nowhere? Yes! If quiet is what you are looking for, look no further! John is a great host and will break his back to help you. His breakfasts were legendary in the local area, until his chef passed away. His new cook is hit or miss. Our room (Master Suite #1) was large, comfortable and on the second... More

Thanks for the great review! We need to clear up one issue though...we had a chef that cooked dinners back in the 90's...he was amazing. After leaving 100 Acre, he was in an accident and passed away...our remark of hit or miss, was trying to place this amazing chef with someone who could fill his shoes...for dinners....That was Hit or Miss!!... Got a chance to stay overnight at this B&B. The host John was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was delicious! The mountain view was beautiful and the room was clean and very comfortable. Hope to be able to make it back for a longer visit.

My husband and I had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before so it was just a little different than what we were used to. The area was beautiful and John was very hospitable. We'd probably stay here again.

This is a big, beautiful, older log cabin with tons of personality. Our room was very comfortable and quiet; one of our best night's sleep we had during our trip. There is a pond behind the cabin with adorable baby geese. The owners are very friendly people. Our breakfast was the best breakfast we had during our trip--bacon and cheese... More

I stayed at this lodge in July of 2009. Then it was called "the 100 Acre Wood Resort" The building was "hand made" by the owner, John. It is rustic and comfortable like a lodge in the very beautiful mountains of Idaho should be. It's not elegant, but it's location is perfect; surrounded by mountains, close to the Montana border,... This is a wonderful B&B run by two charming people, Jon and Nancy. Jon built the lodge from the ground up cutting the timbers himself. It is clean, warm and cozy. An earlier reviewer complained about the small size of the breakfast but I have been coming here for almost 10 years and the breakfasts not only are huge, but... More

Following a beautiful drive through the Sawtooth National Recreation Area and along the Sawtooth and Salmon River Scenic Byways, we arrived at the peaceful 100 Acre Wood Lodge. We enjoyed our own picnic dinner (with a bottle of wine purchased from our hosts) on the back porch, which overlooked a large pond and mountain views. While enjoying the evening, we... More
