Detailed Reviews
When we first pulled up we were a little worried but after looking u could tell that they are in the process of renovating. The photos online are not of the updates rooms. The room is very very nice and updated. Huge tv, nice bed, bathroom, nespresso coffee maker, fridge, microwave, etc. Our room was very clean. WiFi, all the channels and apps on the tv, Snacks, water, playing cards, hand sanitizer, and our favorite part Pet friendly. Definitely recommend!

Coming from Los Angeles and now being a ‘city girl’ the Sacagawea Inn was very cute and comfortable. you can tell they have remodeled and the beds were quite comfortable. the location is very convenient, with the savage grill in walking distance. They even had a fire pit in the front! would definitely recommend

We had a terrific experience at the Sacajawea Inn in Salmon Idaho on July 4th! I believe we stayed in the Eagle room, and it had been recently remodeled, and it was very clean and comfy, and had a Nepresso machine. The owners were wonderfully friendly and inviting, I would definitely stay at this Inn again.

We came in late. 9'ish. Found a note on the office door to call for service. Not a problem. They had left our key in the room door. Not a problem. Ran out to eat, got back after 10 and settled ourselves into the room. Found our queen room to be dirty. Run down. Filthy. We slept in our car instead of staying here. Paid $125 + taxes = $150. This is how much you ripped us off. Cancel your reservations. Beware! Shame on this place!!!

In Salmon ID., you are a LONG ways from a Four Seasons. So, don't expect ANYTHING elaborate, then be pleasantly surprised with 'cute' when you stay at the Sack-ah-jah-wee-ah Inn. It's a mouth full!
The rooms are small but not cramped. The bed was excellent and we slept with the windows open to enjoy the cool July mountain air. The highway noise is muted enough to serenade you to sleep. It's clean but a little rustic. ...And the people are FANTASTIC!!!
Quick story... My wife lost a pet Pug years back and we are huge animal lovers. When two adorable Pug puppies caught my wife's eye behind the front desk, she was over-joyed. After dinner, that was a good suggestion by the Inn staff, we returned to our room for the evening. I snuck out and asked the Inn Keeper for 10 minutes with a puppy and surprised my wife with a wet tongued, tail waggin' little bundle of love that brought her to tears. What city-type chain hotel does that??? These people will do just abount anything for you...
Attention Touring Riders! If you want to wake up to your BMW or Honda still parked where you left it, this is the place to stay. Your back tire is 4 feet from the door!
In summary, sleep well, don't expect much, leave VERY well rested and with a smile.

The hotel is fun, with themed rooms and a cozy atmosphere. What makes it amazing is the warm and friendly hospitality from the owners.
Our youth hockey team stayed here, and they bent over backwards to make our stay pleasant and comfortable. The kids had the BEST time cooking smores over the bonfire and running around the large, central open space.
Will ONLY stay at this hotel when we come to Salmon in the future - rooms are clean, breakfast is an amazing deal, and the layout works great for groups, but the service is like nothing you'll find at any other hotel!
Thanks again for making our hockey trip so memorable for the kids!

We have stayed here multiple times and it was always great but this time I was very disappointed. Our rooms weren't clean, the hotel is starting to look more run down. The furniture in the rooms was scratched and falling apart, the bathtub was stained and I was scared of bathing my kids in it since the plug was rusty, my daughter spilled water and I wipes it up and the napkin was completely brown so I assume they haven't mopped in quiet a while. The staff is extremely friendly and I have always had a great experience here especially at the affordable rates but now we won't go back there anymore. Very disappointing stay this time around. Wasn't able to talk to owner about concerns since they weren't there during checkout and I checked out with their daughter.

The Sacajawea was a great small town motel. Barbara and Walter were very nice and the breakfast was great(Walter even poached my eggs). The room was comfortable and the price was right. The steelhead fishing was good, and Barbara even put my fish in the freezer until I left.
I would defintely hit the sack at the Sac, the next time I'm in Salmon.
Sincerely
Greg

Good afternoon,
I have to report about the experience we had in regards to our stay At The Sacajawea Inn in Salmon.
5 of us were biking through Montana and Idaho on our annual trek.
It all started during check Inn, we were greeted so friendly and respectfully, we all knew it was going to be a great experience.
The rooms were some of the cleanest we had encountered on our trip, and we stayed in a different place each evening.
We had been on a long ride that day and were weary but wanted a bite to eat, the owner must have sensed that and offered to drive us into town to have a bite to eat(they even offered to pick us up), I was so impressed with that offer I had to write and commend this hotel/inn. It's not far to town, you can easily walk, but what a great gesture.
We had a great nights sleep as the area is very quiet and peaceful, the inn provided a great homemade breakfast for a very reasonable cost.
If anyone is traveling through this area I recommend the Sacajawea Inn, you will feel like you are at home.

We are not planning on any major renovations for the guest room bathrooms at this type. We do have plans to update the furniture and tvs in the guest rooms starting in either December or January. Thank you for the inquiry.
We are about 3/4 mile from the bars on Main Street.
