We can’t say enough great things about this cozy campground near the Snake river.
Everyone at Mountain River goes out of their way to be helpful and accommodating.
Most of the spaces are well shaded with grass and picnic tables.
Solid 50/30amp power with good water pressure.
Easy access pump-out station.
Great location near hundreds of ATV mountain trails, and easy access to Swan and Teton valley.
If you’re lucky enough to be there for one of their outdoor concerts, you’ll be spoiled with world-class entertainment and food.
This campground makes our top 10 list, and we’ve visited hundreds all over the U.S. and Canada.
We stayed one week with our 43 ft Wanderlodge and Subaru Outback toad.

We really enjoyed this park, extremely pleasant staff, very concerned about our comfort. Grounds were nicely laid out, very clean, large bathrooms. Loved how quiet, and peaceful it was. Almost had the place to ourselves. We arrived just after they closed all the shows, and a week before they closed for the winter, so it was very quiet. We took a walk after dinner, saw a cow moose with her twins and a white tailed deer (first moose we have seen since we left Alaska!). It is very easy to find, but a bit off the highway. Well worth the drive though! If you are heading to The Tetons or Yellowstone park it is the perfect place to stay, on the way! We would Highly recommend staying here. Thanks for a great stay. S and K from Alaska

You may have to drive a little further (18 miles from Idaho Falls) BUT TRUST ME, it is so WELL WORTH IT! The owners and camp hosts made this vacation one of the best we’ve ever had. They run an awesome park. The setting: how could you ask for more! If you don’t want to be in the City parks within spitting distance of your “neighbor”, this is definitely the place for you. It’s extremely close to the Snake River and close to the mountains. The setting is so peaceful and quiet. The park is so very well maintained; bath/shower house is sparkling clean; the sites aren’t near as close as other parks; you have your own picnic table and fire pit. It’s a great place to bring kids; you can feel very comfortable with them playing in the “meadow” or riding their bicycles in the park. The park is so close to Idaho Falls & Rigby that you have easy access for supplies. It’s also a great location for taking trips to Yellowstone as well as other scenic areas in Eastern Idaho. The camp host (since the park wasn’t crowded when we arrived) gave us the opportunity to pick our spot (as long as a specific site hadn’t been reserved). Once we got settled, he even came over to make sure we were okay and see if we needed anything. Every morning he’d make his rounds to say hello to the travelers. The owners, too, are as down to earth as it gets. I’d encourage you to check out their website (www.mountainriverranch.com) and go visit them and see for yourselves. It was a sheer pleasure to spend time at this park and with these people and we’re looking so forward to a return visit! There is a map on their website BUT you can always contact them for good directions to the Ranch.

First, our camp host, Mike, greeted us as soon as we pulled up. He took care of us and knows the true meaning of hospitality. He even invited us over to his spot for a drink and good company.
This place is off the beaten path and thats what makes it so special. Clean, shady, quiet, cozy, welcoming, and did i mention clean and shady? Easy in and easy out RV spots. Couldnt find a single spot that didnt have shade. Big mature trees, firepits, cheap ice and firewood, great places to ride mountain bikes, & biker friendly. There was no wait in the restrooms for toilets and showers and it looked like the plave was almost full. Restrooms were all very clean.
They even had a guy drive around checking on everyone to see if they needed anything before they go to bed.
We were only there for the night, but we are already talking about coming back for a longer stay.

Managed to go to this site in late August. Very quiet with great staff and owner. Made to feel reeally welcome with the staff being pleasant and helpful . There is plenty to do with some great drives in the area and a wonderful farmers market nearby. We will hopefully return to this site. It is probably busy during school breaks but we were lucky to arrive after school return.

We came to this RV park to see the solar eclipse in August 2017. It was a fabulous place! The owners were always around and super friendly. They had a great staff on hand, organized daily BBQs to celebrate the eclipse and made sure the grounds were perfect. The entire park was clean, well-run and beautiful. They treated you like good friends. We especially liked the dinner theater and shoot-out. The food was home-made and delicious and we enjoyed the show. All in all we feel we chose the perfect place to experience the eclipse. We highly recommend this RV park - it doesn't get any better.

We had a terrific time with their Christmas program. The sleigh ride to and from dinner in the snow with all the decorations along the way and the sound of the harness bells and the rocking of the sleigh, was a highlight. The music was fun the food was good and the entertainment was a treat. I will return and take my friends. They are well organized and seem to enjoy their work. Good job Mountain River Ranch!
Note: dress warm.

This is a great place for a quick get away. Plenty of RV spots and most are pull-through and level. The hosts we all very friendly and helpful, which is very refreshing, because it is not too common. There is plenty to do; such as, hiking, fishing, etc. it is a very beautiful place tucked next to the Snake River. will be back.
