Love love the restaurant here where the helpings are big and the coffee is delicious. Not cheap as breakfast for 4 with tips was $91 but it’s a great treat. And I had leftovers of my frittata. Our son rented a pontoon and the help was quite friendly. Hopefully next year we will rent a cabin for a week.

Have been going there for years, and this year SUCKED! For the amount of money you spend you shouldn’t have to listen to drunk , obnoxious loud employees dropping the “F” bomb every 5 seconds sitting at the bar after working their shift somewhere on the property, when your trying to enjoy your hard earned $ and have a relaxing time. The bartender kinda tried to keep it down but wasn’t successful at all. Next was dinner. The waitress we had didn’t show up for a solid 15 minutes after we were seated, she had the attitude that we were bothering her and acted as if she had better things to do. After that I think we only saw her one other time and that was When she was picking up our tab. The entire dinner the bus boy and hostess took care of us.once the food was served( Spare Ribs) it had so much Demi Glaze on it that it was like eating a bowl of teriyaki soup. I was completely shocked at the quality and I’ve always raved about how good the food was,The drinks we ordered were sent back because they tasted like crap and then the second time around they didn’t remember the garnish for either drink.. I know places have “ OFF” days and that’s understandable, but when these things are happening over multiple days and at a different times, I’m thinking there is a bigger issue.. I never ever normally write any kind of reviews good or bad , but I just couldn’t let this one pass. I really hope this falls on the right desk and someone does something to fix it ..

We stayed in #17 which has three queen beds. The bedrooms are tiny, just large enough for the beds, but the rest of the cabin was very nice. Nothing fancy, but everything was clean and functional. The location is fantastic.

Six months ago I booked a quiet cabin right on the lake. After a long drive, we checked in. They had scheduled a wedding right in front of our cabin. I have attached a photo of what was supposed to be our lake view - a wedding tent. We had to check out after only one day. We do appreciate that they refunded our fee for the second night but our trip was ruined. #SoDisappointed

I chose Elkins Resort based on location and activities offered in the area for our 50th anniversary celebration with family. Our party had a total of 3 cabins rented for the week starting July 6, 2019. Every cabin had window issues, ie, hard to open and once open, wouldn't close. Cabin 12 is located practically in the parking lot, and traffic passes on 3 sides of the cabin entering and exiting the parking lot. It was noisy. Cabin 6 could use some TLC, but was very comfortable for a family of 4. Cabin 8 was quiet and recently refurbished (with a dishwasher and terrific shower). There was foot traffic coming and going from a nearby campground. During July and August, rentals are full week rates only, no towels, no room service. Only 1 cabin of the 3 had a dishwasher. Pay attention to the list in your room as you will be responsible if anything is broken or missing and a stiff fee added to your bill for lost keys as well. I strongly advise this for boat rental too. Make sure you inventory everything on the list before you sign the 2-page contract. Some resorts include kayaks and SUP'S with a lake front rental, but not Elkins, be prepared to pay top dollar for any floating device. We had a wonderful anniversary celebration in the dining room on Sunday. As we rented the boat for a full day as part of our celebration (rentals go until 5 pm), we asked for seating for our party of 13 at 5:30, but the dining hostess said no, we had to be there by 5 pm. This meant returning the boat early so we could get showered and dressed so as not to be late. As Elkins charges top dollar for boats, this was a bit of a loss for us. The food was excellent and service was great too in the dining room. Our waiter was extremely pleasant. The staff at Elkins was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. We ate in the dining room for a couple of breakfasts as well, and had a great experience. The outdoor grassy area/bar is terrific, serving lots of delicious drinks (both alcohol and non-alcoholic) with huckleberries, a local delight. Not to mention the mountain and lake back drop is stunning! Two separate beaches with outdoor fire pits add to the Priest Lake experience at Elkins Resort. Adirondack chairs and chaise lounges with umbrellas line both beaches and we had no trouble with availability. A small playground on the southern beach is great for small children. The water is crystal clear, and great for distance swimming and young and old children too. I believe the water temp was 70-ish degrees, and I wore a shorty wetsuit to swim distance. We enjoyed hiking Trail 365 which leaves Elkins Resort and follows the lake southward for a ways before going inland. We picked wild strawberries and blueberries along the way. Huckleberries are everywhere along the trails, and ripen late July/early August. We also rented kayaks for 1/2 day from Priest Lake Marina and kayaked to Kallispell Island for a picnic. Rates were reasonable and we enjoyed the experience. This is a popular area for four-wheeling and mountain biking. Several in our group enjoy mountain biking and it would have added to our experience to be able to rent a bike for a day or two in the Priest Lake area. If you enjoy boating, four-wheeling, hiking, kayaking, birding, relaxing, and connecting with nature, this is the perfect location for you!
