Having missed a vital turn which would have seen us in Pinedale we had a long drive between mountain ranges and ended-up in Montpelier at dusk. We check-in here only because it was $10 cheaper than the Super 8. With hindsight, maybe not the best choice. Anyway the room was clean - so much so that we had to open... More

This is an older motel, but they have updated their decor. The room we had was 2 queens. The room was very large. I was really impressed with how clean and quiet it was. There is a bar upstairs for a little night life. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly.

Nice quiet and clean motel for family of four. Good value. Breakfast was tasty. Nice distance from Lava Hot Springs. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. The Oregon Trail Museum is a well kept secret and well worth the time, with a nice park next door.

Though the building is older, its well maintained and clean. Our room had recently been re-carpeted and smelt clean and fresh. Not a spec of dirt in any corner including the bathroom. Courteous and pleasant front desk, and a special not to Lynn who took my reservation and came down on her day off (w/her husband) to meet us and... More

We brought our 2 German shepherds with us on vacation. The motel was generally very nice..beds a little lumpy, but ok. It's located across the street from the only liquor store in town, and a favorite of motorcycle tourists, vacationers and construction crews. Breakfast was great and featured scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy among other things like cereal. I... More

My husband decided to take a quick get away and this is where we ended up. I was so pleasantly surprised. The room was very clean and spacious. There was a refidgerator and microwave as well as coffee maker. Our room had a King size bed and a recliner for watching TV if that was desired. There was a hot... More

I called and spoke with Amber. Being military USMC, saved me a few bucks. For a small town this hotel is tops. Clean front office, very friendly and polite staff. Room was clean with small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Bed was comfortable and adaquate. TV was big enough with many channels. I did not use the free wifi. Breakfast... More

It's been several years since we first visited this unit had been a Best Western. But with new owners in 2008 they dropped that franchise and became independent. So far it's worked for them. The rooms have been upgraded and are much cleaner than before.

Quiet, convenient & best pizza in town! This is important, as Montpelier is short on restaurants. Friendly staff, weak coffee (but for no additional cost), and a good hot breakfast. Near the local historical museum/Forest Service office.
