The absentee Spanish owner is wonderful in his e-mails. However, the young Cabo Verdian manager has no authority to do anything including basic maintenance of the hotel. To begin with only if he can smile a bit, it would have been good but he is so scared. Honestly he acts like a slave. We were a large group staying there...

This is a basic hotel as far as décor goes but it is comfortable. We had a "King" sized bed and it was very comfortable. The servicing of the room was a bit poor but over all it was fine, no complaints. We did not have breakfast there but found a nice café in the next block that we ate...

Although St. Antao is a hiking paradise and many people will be happy taking a pour-down shower and staying in after dark, some will appreciate a real bathroom, putting into clean clothes and going out for dinner. The New Bluebell hotel has a seventies build and is going through a revamping under new management. There is plenty of hot and cold...

We booked this hotel through a travel agency and upon arrival were surprised to be offered suite nr. 2 which consisted of two bedroom with a twinbed, a spacious living room and a really big bathroom and balcony overlooking the main square of Ponta Do Sol. The breakfast is very sober but fresh. The hotelstaff was very helpful in organizing...

The hotel overlooks the main square. The rooms are of average size, bathrooms rather cramped. It is probable the best place to stay in Ponta do Sol where the choice of accommodation is very limited. The breakfast buffet offers the basics: bread, cheese, ham, jam, fruit juices, coffee etc. Only two fruits were on offer, bananas and papayas. The staff...

Stayed here two nights whilst walking on Santo Antao. Had a great room (2) actually a suite with a huge balcony overlooking the square. Plumbing was fine and we even had a bath - very welcome after a day's tough hiking. Staff were friendly and helpful, advising on the right fares to pay in the alguluers. Breakfast was available for...

Stayed at Blue Bell in February and had a great time during my stay. The place just changed the management recently and you can see that everybody is working hard to make your experience as good as possible. Friendly team and probably the best restaurant in town. The morning breakfast offered a good variety of products which gave us enough...

we stayed for two nights and had a good time. The hotel recently changed owner and a lot of improvements are done. The beds were good, the food was excellent and the staff was wonderful. We also had WiFi in the dining room and reception. When taking a shower we told the staff and they started a pump right away....

Based on previous reviews we were a little disappointed when our accommodation had to be changed to this hotel. However, the management has recently changed and the new staff are working hard to please. Undoubtedly there is much work to do in the hotel, but it is clean, airy, the bed is comfortable and the room has the basics required....
