We are a family of 15 (three generations - aged 4 to mid-60s) and we had a week of fun at the No Business Lodge. This beautiful house overlooks the Payette River and we had easy access to the river for fishing, floating and playing on the shore. (Bring a collection of tubes or blow-up flamingoes or loungers. Floating down the river was so much fun for everyone). The house is perfect for a large group--lots of beds, a well-equipped kitchen and a positively huge dining room table. There are sofas aplenty, an outdoor table (good for morning coffee or afternoon card games), a BBQ and several outdoor fire pits (marshmallow skewers are supplied). No Business Lodge has a hot tub, a pool table, a zillion games, puzzles, horseshoes, cornhole, and a giant yard-sized Yatzee game. There's a bar area if you want to keep a keg cold. (There are several TVs, but we never turned them on.) I hope I am not forgetting anything--there were so many amenities and toys and fun things to do. We did venture from the house occasionally---for huckleberry picking, rock climbing, hiking and rafting (Salmon River out of Riggins) but we were plenty busy at the house, too. We made great meals in the kitchen, which had everything we needed. We even went to the local buffalo ranch and bought bison for dinner. Belinda is super-helpful and took care of all of our needs, answered endless questions and made us feel really welcome. We highly recommend the No Business Lodge.

I can't imagine a better venue for an outdoor wedding. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. Belinda, the property manager/event coordinator, and her husband and daughter, was incredibly helpful before, during and after the wedding. You can sleep your entire wedding party in the big house, and guests can park their RVs for free. A great deal!

My wife and I rented the No Business Lodge for 3 nights the weekend prior to Christmas. In lieu of a bunch of gifts to the nieces and nephews we took them to the mountains for a long weekend of family quality time, sledding, playing in the snow and great food. We had been wanting to do this for a number of years but could never find the right place to hold everyone comfortably while offering great entertaining space if the weather did not cooperate. NBL is absolutely perfect for this. The kids age ranged from 15 months - 14. We had as many as 16 at one time and there was still room for more. The lodge has a great design for both kids and adults. The kitchen is more than adequate for family style cooking and the dining table is perfect for enjoying everyones company. The bunk room is very comfortable and sleeps numerous people very well. It was ideal for the kids. They all loved picking out their own bunk. To add to the great layout the game room puts it over the top. The fireplace kicks out unlimited heat even when the kids leave the arctic entry door open (sorry NBL). The pool table, TV, card table and games kept all the kids entertained. We brought a UTV with us and cruised the roads and towed the kids on inner tubes. Lots of fun and there was always a warm place and hot tub to go back to when you were cold. S'mores outside at the bonfire and tubbing at a nearby hill. The lodge is carefully decorated with beautiful artwork and Idaho Mtn accents plus some great humor. Overall we were very happy with everything. Belinda and her husband (mangers) were very helpful in anything we asked for. Can't wait to return. Would love to see this place in the summer. Thank you NBL

From the minute we pulled up, we knew that No Business was the place for us. A year passed between booking the venue and the actual wedding, so we had lots of interaction with Belinda. I don't think that we could have asked for a better weekend. Although lots of things happened that we didn't plan for (a full week of rain, the river getting too high and covering our original ceremony site and the DJ not showing up)- Belinda took care of it all. She helped us do an indoor and outdoor rehearsal so that we could be prepared for inclement weather. She worked with the rental company so we had a tent and everything we needed. When we were in a pickle without a DJ, Belinda once again saved the day and got us a sound system. We set up for an indoor ceremony (the lodge is beautiful so it was an easy decision!) but within an hour of start time, the skies cleared up and Belinda and our family broke it all down and re-set up the ceremony down by the river. Although Belinda and her husband live on the property, we were never asked to keep the noise down...which was awesome. At the lodge we had a bridal shower, our rehearsal dinner, the wedding, a full game day the following day and a bonfire the night before we left. Belinda was present when she needed to be and she disappeared when she was done. Anytime we text or called while we were there, she was available. I know that this should be a location review but Belinda made such a positive impact on our whole wedding weekend that I feel she needs a huge shoutout!!! Ok, about the lodge! We used every possible seeping area. Everyone fit comfortably and had a great stay. There is a bathroom on every floor (the top floor has 2) so nobody was fighting for the shower. The river was higher that normal so we couldn't really use it for swimming, but we did catch some fish which was great. There is a hot tub and a great back deck with killer views. The kitchen is a good size and there is a huge dining room table that we all ate for rehearsal. The bar/game room is where most people hung out during the wedding. We had 2 kegs, and all of the wine/extra beer and hard alcohol fit in the fridge under the bar. We set up a photo booth and had our guest book sign etc right in the entrance. This was mainly because of the weather, but it also had the most traffic so everyone got to sign in and take their pictures. The bar is so much fun and everyone had an awesome time partying down there! There was an issue the first night with one of the keg taps but Belinda and her husband were quick to trouble shoot and fix the problem with only 1 beer being wasted!! If you want amazing views of untouched Idaho, a great host who will literally do anything she possible can to make your stay amazing and a house that makes it really hard to leave-this is the place for you. Perfect place to become man and wife :)

This is a huge home/lodge, perfect for a large family or college friends reunion, business employee appreciation, or corporate retreat. It has a large king size master suite with jetted tub and shower, two bedrooms with shared bath, two other bedrooms and a large dorm room with several bunks. Will sleep 20 in beds, plus they have several mattresses you can put out on the floors. Ample sheets, pillows. blankets and towels are supplied. Very well equipped kitchen. We used the keg refer in the game room for cooling soft drinks, wine and extra milk. There is a big dining area, with a long table and bench seating for 15-20. There is a large game room with wet bar and two keg refer, plus pool table and game table. It has two large decks, with a hot tub on the lower one. It sits just above the north fork of the Payette River with a stone walkway down to a beach with a fire pit area. There is a lot of lawn area for games. Plenty of parking for cars, boats, atv's and other toys you may bring. There are lots of hiking and atv trails in the area. I'm sure it is great for winter activities too. The name comes from a mountain and fire lookout nearby. It is west of mile marker 135 on hwy 55, about halfway between Donnelly and Lake Fork, so it's not walking distance to food or shopping. Belinda, the manager, is very helpful, both with booking and questions while you are here. There are some water and snow toys that seem to be available for renter's use. We brought our own and didn't need any of them so can't vouch for their useabilty. The wifi was very strong. It was fine for You Tube video. We didn't do any NetFlix streaming so can't vouch for that. The home has Direct TV and a flat screen in the family room and game room. We've vacationed in McCall for years and will definitely return to the No Business Lodge! McCall and Cascade are great outdoor recreation areas. If you have any questions about the area contact me through Trip Advisor and I will try to answer them for you.
