Detailed Reviews
I found this little Inn (I think just 10 units) when I wanted to visit this lovely town when I drove past it earlier. Compared to the corporate hotels I'd stayed on during this multi-state trip, this inn felt like home. The landscaping is beautiful, the room had several small tables providing room to put things like my toiletry bag (which even expensive hotels neglect to plan for), and the people were very friendly and accommodating . The refrigerator had a functioning freezer big enough for me to freeze some items. The bed was comfortable and everything functioned as it should. My favorite feature besides the tables was an overhead fan, which meant I could do without the air conditioner, which always tend to be too noisy for me. The inn is just a block from the main street and an easy walk to several of the hot springs and the sunken garden.

Very satisfied with our stay at the Alpaca Inn. Room was clean, grounds were gorgeous, and it's easy walking to local restaurants. The price was very reasonable. The office was closing before we were to arrive, and we got a call from them giving us our room number and lock code for the door, making check in very easy.

We travel North and South along 1-15 in Idaho often, and are always glad when our miles work out so that we can stay at the Alpaca Inn. Located in the center of town, it is always immaculately clean, the beds are great, and there are several options of pillows available in the rooms. Jody and Londa are wonderful hosts.
There are rooms like motel rooms, but they have purchased and updated the homes next-door, so there are several options for groups and families. BBQ grill, outdoor tables and green space makes it even more comfortable.
They do raise Alpacas nearby, so yarn and knitted items can purchased.
The Wagon Wheel restaurant gives a discount to Alpaca Inn customers, watch out for the breakfast, I can't eat it all!

Stayed one night with my wife and 3 kids. The beds were great and the pull out was wonderful (not a cheap steel springed pull-out. It was every bit as solid and comfy as the beds). The rooms had great character and everything we needed was provided in the simple kitchen area. I think it would have been well suited for a romantic get-away with my wife but it worked great for the family also. Oh, and the little semi-private patio out front of the room made a perfect breakfast nook. Very peaceful and perfect temperature in the morning. We never encountered an employee of the hotel other then on the phone. He gave us our room code and that was it. My kids said to tell them they wanted an alpaca petting zoo.

Stayed her on our way through Lava Hot Springs on a road trip, Our room was comfortable, clean and the people we met were all very friendly. The location is perfect, can get to hiking trails right from the room and can walk to the restaurants and hot springs downtown easily from the Inn. Definitely would stay again!

This elite location is close enough to all the happenings in Lava Hot Springs, but it off the main road and offers peace and quiet. The rooms are always clean with more amenities than needed. The front desk is kind and personal, remembering my name when I walk by. The beds are super comfortable for anyone, including those with back issues. Warmth and friendliness can always be found here.

Room was fantastic. Price was reasonable. The space for a family of 6 was exceptional. Full kitchen, we were able to cook all of our meals without any issues. Location is phenomenal, walking distance to everything in lava. Staff was all very friendly. Definitely staying here again.

This is a nice clean cute hotel. The beds were comfortable and plenty of parking. Checkin process was very quick and easy and we got some recommendations for places for dinner. The hotel is right in town and walkable to the public hot springs.
My only recommendation is to upgrade the coffee in the room.

Wanted to find place to stay on the way to Yellowstone National Park and did not want to stay in some "chain" hotel. This place about 10 miles off the main interstate fit the bill completely. The room was extremely comfortable and within walking distance from restaurants and other facilities in town. Check in was simple and Debbie at the front desk was great providing all the information one needs to have a great stay. Highly recommend.

This is the only place I continue to stay at Lava Hot Springs. Over-the-top service and friendliness. The rooms are comfortable and they supply amenities like coffee, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. It's very cozy and quiet.

Sorry I'm just seeing this. We do not allow pets (we love pets... but we don't allow them at the Inn).
Hi! The two story has only one bathroom (there is a second sink area outside the bathroom). There is a large bedroom upstairs with a queen bed and a children's nook with two twin mattresses. On the main level there is a small bedroom with a full bed, a tiny room with a twin and a queen bed in the living room area. It sleeps 7adults plus 2 children.
