I stayed there with three old friends for a ski trip. The location is perfect and walkable to everything. We took the town shuttle to ski everyday with several stops close to the hotel. Breakfast included eggs, sausage and hash browns. The rooms are clean, modern and spacious. It was the perfect base for our trip. We all agreed that we would stay there again on our next visit to Sun Valley.

Perfect Basecamp for adventures in the mountains! From here we had easy access to trails (including the Harriman) and were able to ride and hike all day, then crash back to town for great grub and drinks. Location was perfect and the amenities were awesome.

The good: 1) the location is Main Street in Ketchum. There are about 5 blocks of little stores and places to eat The not-so-good 1) it’s NOISY it’s on a street - street noise 2) it’s NOISY walls are paper thin 3) all entrances to all rooms are from outside- if it’s rainy or cold - good luck 4) Gym not open till 8 AM 5) hotel looks much better in the pics, it’s not bad, but it’s like one step above a Holiday Inn COVID time: 1) coffee shop not open 2) unhealthy breakfast foods provides (granola bars, sugared yogurt, packaged muffins, orange juice and coffee) you walk outside to lobby to pick it up 3) no house keeping - I’m sure if we begged for something maybe they’d do it Net/net: won’t stay there again, at least not in COVID time. With the restaurants on the street open - why can coffee shop be open again? Net/net: don’t say during COVID. and for location and cleanliness it’s ok, but not great. Staff was nice.

My family of 4 stayed in a double Queen room. I picked it for the location and pool, which were both very nice and lived up to expectations. The front desk staff were very welcoming upon arrival and patient with figuring out a confusion over my booking. Because of Covid there’s no housekeeping, but we actually didn’t mind that. The drawbacks are the hotel is very loud with thin walls (the in-room sound machine helped). One bed was right against the A/C so that side was too cold. Luckily one of my children could stay with her cousins instead because no one wanted that side. The pillows were very thick and fluffy - while others loved that, I could not sleep as a stomach sleeper. After a night of almost no sleep, I borrowed a pillow from my relatives (the hotel didn’t have any other pillows). When I checked in they asked how many would be sleeping in the room. I said 3-4 of us and they gave us vouchers for 3 breakfasts a day and told us to come ask for more if our other child was with us. They showed us where the cookies were put out daily (a nice touch!) but twice when I picked up 4 cookies (1 per person) in the afternoon the person at the front desk made a comment. There were also only 2 towels in our room when we checked in. All of this was easily remedied, but I think maybe they’re not used to parties of 4. The only thing that really did not meet expectations was breakfast. The first day (a Friday) there were no pastries at 8:45. I was told to be there by 7 or they tend to sell out. For 4 days there was no yogurt (so also couldn’t buy smoothies) and the only fruit available were apples. The breakfast location is affiliated with a larger shop in town, but our vouchers could only be used at the hotel location.

Great hotel with beautiful rooms. Only downside is that the rooms are entered to from outside, like a motel. The hotel did contactless check in and the rooms have a fun, modern vibe. Really nice location so you can walk to shops, restaurants.

My wife and I are retired, and are well travelled. The property is beat up on most of the surfaces, and has a worn feel. The bathroom is really tiny and lacks much storage. The thermostat would not allow us to turn down the air past 71 without switching to heat mode. When neighboring units turn on their water the noise is very loud. The website makes it seem like there is a restaurant attached, there is not. The mattresses that we had were very soft. Would not stay here again.

Hey worldcruiser222, Thanks so much for the great feedback. Appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your stay! While the hotel went through a $9 million complete renovation less than two years ago, unfortunately we were not able to reconfigure the hotel rooms as much as we would have liked, the size of the bathrooms was unfortunately one of those areas that we could not change. However the full interior and exterior of the property were completely redone, and we purposely used exterior finishes such as architectural steel with a natural patina to reflect a modern contemporary feel. Appreciate your comments on it being worn, but this was purposely done and many of our guests find it exceptionally attractive along with the fully renovated guestrooms and unique public areas. We use the highest quality air conditioning and heating systems available, and they simply respond to whatever temperature you set them at. If you want the room warmer even by a few degrees it will use whatever heating or cooling it deems necessary to bring the room to that temperature. We also feature Simmons Beautyrest plush double pillow top mattress is in all of our guest rooms. Mattresses are very subjective, many folks like a firm mattress, and some like it soft, we tried to choose a great high quality mattress somewhere in the middle, but we take your feedback seriously and will look at all options if the opportunity comes to replace these in the future. You mentioned not seeing our restaurant, but we actually have three restaurants that are part of the hotel facility, and all were open and operating during your stay. We feature Barrio 75, our full service Taco and Tequila bar with a great outdoor patio and online ordering options from every guest room. Jersey Girl, featuring incredible handmade soups, salads, and wonderful sandwiches, and Hailey Coffee Company at the Hangout, featuring fresh roasted coffee and made to order breakfast items that are included with every guest stay. All of these restaurants are located in our hotel buildings and information on each of them is available in the digital guest room directory provided in each room. I feel badly you were not able to experience these wonderful restaurants and really hope you have the opportunity to come back and join us again to try them out. We hope you had an amazing stay in Ketchum, and we would love the opportunity to have you back again in the future and help you experience every aspect of our hotel! Cheers! We wound up paying $400 for a room not even worth the $200/night rate. How? Because we prepaid a 2-night stay in a view room--which turned out to overlook several businesses across a busy road (with a hill in the background). Just before we checked in a family issue forced us to cancel the second night, but even with 24-hour notice, management was adamant about not refunding any part of our prepayment--not even the view surcharge. Beware 72-hour cancellation policies, even if you stay your first night!

I worried about staying here based on reviews. But I was on a budget and this was my best bet. I did not regret. They seem to have many different rooms in different areas. We were lucky to have a mountain facing room on the top floor (3) While the view was great, there was traffic noise in the morning, good thing this town dose not get much traffic. The rooms are comfortable & spacious,. Two of my favorite things they had: Two hooks in the bathroom, and upon request robes. We did not get maid service, but if we needed anything, it was sent up right away. The bathroom sink counter was a complaint of mine ( many hotels are doing this.) There is no counter space or drawers to place your stuff on. If you are staying longer than a day, it is an annoyance. The pool was large and surprising warm enough for me to swim in. The hot tub was nice too. Breakfast was perfect, just enough to get you to lunch time. I would stay again. Easy to walk everywhere you need to get to, or the bus stops.

The walls are thin and each noise in the next door room can be heard; drawers opened, bathroom flushed, people conversation. Did not sleep well during stay. No housekeeping and must request towels for use.
