Just got home after a two night stay in a tent at Smiley Creek Lodge. All of the staff who work there are super friendly and nice! The food in the restaurant was delicious, and the bathroom and shower facilities were super clean. We plan to go back next year and stay in one of the Yurts.

As one of the few businesses still existing within in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area (SNRA), Smiley Creek has somewhat of monopoly for anyone wanting a hamburger, other meals and retail services if traveling between Ketchum and Stanley Idaho. in this recreation area. But they do not exploit this; they are gracious and laid back. They are right off Highway... More

If I were to review our stay just on the cabin alone, i would say that it was great...clean, neat, cute, quaint. For the price, and knowing that it was not going to have a bathroom of its own, but a shower house, I was good with that. But we got up in the morning, and the water pump was... More

If you are looking to "get away" into the peacefulness of the Sawtooth mountains, this is not the place to stay. They yurts are very neat, but we had tent campers and trailers stacked all around us in a parking lot setting. High density, and very noisy. The images of the yurt on their website show it in a lovely... More

This is a darling lodge, restaurant, mini-mart! We flew into the Smiley Creek airport just to check it out. The airport is darling with a beautiful grass runway, airplane campers, and clean restrooms/showers. Across from the airport is Smiley Creek Lodge. We actually had lunch here on our last visit in January (excellent food and service), but this time, we... More

We had a great time on the trails no matter what. But I didn't much care for my experience here. The price is high compared to other outfitters in the region with newer machines. The initial encounter and paperwork was by an unhappy and unfriendly woman. The introduction to the machines was by a gruff guy who vacillated between impatience... More

Not worth your time. Food was overpriced, service was absolutely horrible. We specifically asked the lady with the blonde hair in a pony tail to take our order two different times, and she replies "it's gonna be a long wait". There were four other tables of people. On top of that, she would not take our order. From there, we... More

Saturday afternoon, my husband and I, with our two kids (14, 12) drove an hour north from Ketchum to Smiley Creek Lodge. We rented double seated snowmobiles and clothing/boots, and drove on groomed trails 50+ miles round trip to Redfish Lake! Gorgeous scenery. We returned and had a great dinner. We had the Black and Blue Burger, wings, french fries,... More

“Cabins cheaper but shared bathrooms; loft rooms spendy but fun; watch your head! Yurts and teepees with heating and AC also available!”

“Honestly can say any of the RV spots are level and full hookups. Just beware of parking your RV too close to the cabins West of the RV park - you don't get to choose your neighbors & their party habits!”
