First time at the Lodge at Palisades Creek, it for sure won’t be our last! We had set out with more people than came COVID put a bit of a damper on that but the lodge was very COVID ready an prepared that gave the rest of us peace of mind. From Shayde at the flyshop to Charles and team at the restaurant/ bar these folks took great care of us! I had a blown out tire on our truck on our drive in from Colorado shayde called the tire shop and helped us arrange in Idaho falls new tires and we didn’t miss a skip of fishing!
Fishing- it was fantastic you won’t be disappointed on your days on the river! Even an ok day of fishing maybe 15 fish... you still come back to your cabin smiling. The guides tend to drive you back to your cabins and help you unload whatever you happens to take.
Justin the GM checked in on us every night just to make sure we had a good day.
The entire staff is so pleasant and personable. We had some food allergies and the chef and team jumped into action to make sure they had it covered. The first night we were spoiled with delicious scallops and kept getting better from their. Lunches on the river were very good especially salad days! And breakfast was made to order on whatever you desired.
I honestly couldn’t find a flaw!

Till next year!
Sincerely Wendy A

After being cooped up for over a year because of the pandemic, finding The Lodge
at Palisades Creek was a profound joy. We have long wanted to try fly fishing. We started our fishing expedition in Montana, then moved on to Wyoming before finding The Lodge at Palisades Creek. The Lodge was by far our favorite. This amazing hide away is exceptional in every way. From our first phone interaction we could tell that the Lodge was special. There is a can do spirit that runs through the place. The staff were outstanding and go above and beyond to make their guests feel pampered. Our dog traveled with us and the staff were so sweet to watch after her while we fished. The cabins are lovely and provide a peaceful landing after a full day of fishing. The cabins are spaced to provide privacy for the guests. Each cabin has a porch with a couple of chairs so that you can sit and listen to running water and watch wildlife and the beautiful scenery. The lodge is all inclusive. Each day starts with an outstanding breakfast, lunch is with your fishing guide on the water, and the dinners are spectacular. Kudos to the chef. The property is absolutely gorgeous and provides the perfect ambience for couples and friends. The property also features “the Liar’s Den” which provides a pool table, bar and board games. It’s a beautiful space. We were guests for a few days in May. It was wonderful and I am looking to book another stay hopefully this month or in September. We came in May as a couple but we want to bring friends for our next stay. I’ve told several friends about this place. I can’t recommend it enough. I mentioned to the general manager, Justin, that The Lodge had the feel of a high end safari. The service was impeccable . We had two different guides, both were outstanding. Everyone raved about their guides. The fishing was superb.

We used the Lodge at Palisades to book a fishing outing, the booking was easy and the email with directions was clear. We arrived first thing in the morning at the fly shop, met our guide and were off for the day. I don't think there could be a more perfect day. The weather was gorgeous, the boat was perfectly situated, and the fish were biting like crazy. Chase was our guide and he went above and beyond to help us learn and have a great day on the water. My 11 year old (and myself) had quite a few tangles and snags, and he never frustrated with us. Answered every possible question the kid asked.

Lunch was very good, we stopped for a lunch break in beautiful surroundings with bald eagles flying overhead. We were so sad when the day was over, looking forward to booking again in the future and make sure you request Chase when booking your fishing guides!

What an amazing experience we had at The Lodge at Palisades Creek! From the time we arrived we felt welcomed and at home. You don't meet a stranger at the Lodge. Staff is the best, they are friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was delicious, whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. Drinks are included from beer, wine, scotch, you name it, they've got it! The fishing was great - we had the best guide, Scott. He made sure that we caught fish, taking us to all of the right places. Scott was helpful and patient and when my hubby caught his big cutthroat, Scott was just as excited as my husband! Our cabin was cozy and clean. A welcoming bottle of wine and snacks are provided upon arrival. Bed was comfortable, we had plenty of room. This was a trip to remember and we will definitely be back!

Gave these guys an email asking about available date for a one day drift on the South Fork any day 2 weeks out (no lodging required). I did receive an immediate “auto reply” email stating they would get back to me shortly. Heard nothing more - so 8 days after my email I called them. I explained my previous request, and said I was surprised I had heard nothing further, and that now we were within a day of the week I had the flexibility to go on any day. The young lady made no apology, or even an excuse. Just took a quick look at the calendar and said at that point they were booked all week. Maybe they were completely booked that far out even for a day drift, but it should have been pretty simple, and really no more than common courtesy to respond, and/or expressed some apology when I followed up with them by phone after waiting more than a week for a reply.

Third year in a row going to the Lodge and it gets better and better!! You feel right at home the moment you arrive. Everyone there makes you feel welcomed and you are treated like family. The fishing is amazing because the guides know what they are doing and where to go. They are patient and helpful. While fishing on the river the scenery is beautiful and keep your eyes opened for moose, deer and bald eagles. The cabins are clean and cozy. The beds are very comfortable and the cabins are cleaned daily. The food that is served is spectacular! Bison short ribs, fresh fish, prime rib, just to name a few and be sure you try the Huckleberry ice cream. You also have to try one of Charles’ special cocktails- the Huckleberry Mule is so good! It’s great meeting new people, exchanging fishing stories, and relaxing. The grounds are well kept, with many beautiful flowers all around. I can’t say enough about the Lodge and the staff. It’s always a wonderful experience!

Our first visit was last year and we enjoyed our time at the Lodge so much, we had to return again this year. When you arrive, you immediately feel welcomed. Staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Our cabin was perfect for us. Clean, comfortable bed, a welcome bottle of wine and snacks, and a portable air conditioner. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. The fishing is out of this world! Our guide Scott was amazing. He knew where to take us to fish. He was knowledgeable and patient, always giving us pointers (trust me, I need all the help I can get). The food that is served was out of this world. Everything was delicious whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you go, you have to have one of Charles, handmade cocktails. His strawberry lime mule was so good! The Lodge at Palisades Creek is a first class place to stay. Do yourself a favor and book a stay. You won’t regret it and you will be sure to return.

Before taking the kids out fly fishing for the first time we took them to The Lodge fly shop. The employee took time out of his day to take them to their pond in back of the shop and teach them how to cast. Both hooked monster fish at the lodge pond and I’m sure they will never forget the experience

My husband, two of his fishing buddies and I spent three glorious days at The Lodge at Palisades Creek a few weeks ago. It was absolutely on of the best trips we have ever taken. The setting is glorious -- beautiful and tranquil. The river is incredibly beautiful. The A Frame we stayed in could not have been more perfect. While the guys fished, I had it all to myself to read, do some sewing and just take walks. The two bedrooms were great for us and there was plenty of setting room for everyone to feel comfortable. The food was out of this world. I really didn't expect this type of gourmet food at a fishing lodge, but it was some of the best cuisine I have ever eaten. Finally, the staff was just incredible. Sally and Hailey were wonderful hostesses. They and Justen made us feel absolutely at home and very welcome. I cannot strongly enough recommend this idyllic spot on the Snake River.

Spent three nights. Room was very, very clean, tub with shower, and clean towels daily. The grounds are well kept and great facilities. You name your want for breakfast and that is what you get. Four course dinner. Food very good and well trained staff. They are there to do whatever you want. Fished three days with Parker. Excellent, very patient guide. Helped beginners and could really row the boat and find fish.
