Room is different from the pictures. Extremely Boring Breakfast. Internet is so poor that we had to use mobil data all the time. Restaurant is just average but expensive. We asked the hotel to arrange a water taxi to murano, and comes a guy who worked for a glass factory. We are only allowed to see their factory/shop and were sent to Venice center right away. We could not see anything else at murano. Scam. Overall very disappointing.
We loved it here!! Beautiful little property with great atmosphere for the breakfast buffet. We were very pleasantly surprised to know that the hotel rate included a speedboat to Murano and Venice. Great overall service. About a 15 minute walk to the Vaporetto. We really enjoyed our stay here.
The Quattro Fontana is a strange and unique hotel with lots of curious things/artwork to see throughout. Rooms were comfortable but a little tacky. The food was okay but found some of the staff to be rude. Great location - across the street from a beautiful beach and walking distance to great restaurants.
the first time i was in venise some 20 years ago, i spend some night in the albergo quattro fontana and the good surprise was it was not only the room, rather of a big size, but included also full board from breakfast to evening meal. all posible pastas and italian specialities , all of a very high quality. I decided to return recently and the quality remain the same including good and friendly service.
Our family had a great experience here. Stayed in Lido for a conference, and the location couldn't be beat. Staff was incredibly helpful with transportation, advice, beach and other bookings. Great coffee and breakfast. The grounds and garden area is beautiful and our triple room worked great for us (two adults and one 6-year old child)
My husband and I stayed here earlier this month (May ‘19) with a tour group. The hotel is one block walk from the boat dock, very convenient for going to the other islands. This is a very pretty hotel, lots of antiques in main areas and rooms. We had a lovely, spacious room with a huge balcony overlooking the gorgeous garden full of roses, hydrangeas, iris, calla lilies, very large shade trees and Japanese Red Naples. The breakfast was more than adequate. The only negative is the morning coffee was not good, otherwise, a very love hotel. I would recommend if you want to be in a more quiet, less touristy location just off the Adriatic Sea. The beach is only a two block walk away.
I stayed here while on tour with a friend. You need a water taxi to get here but the terrace is absolutely beautiful. The hotel has a small bar inside and has alot of authentic old Italian decor. We were impressed with the friendly staff, who were accommodating though our Italian speech was poor, lovely atmosphere inside, and beautiful chic rooms. I look forwards some day to coming back for a longer stay.
Reading the reviews we agree it’s charming. However. I would avoid staying where . The bathroom was so tiny even for European standards. Don’t drop the soap in the shower it’s too small to bend over and pick it up and you have to muscle to close the sticky shower doors The Windows were not wind proof and we had to shut the shutters - the room was still cold. - don’t think the heating worked The pillows and bed were so hard we both needed to see a chiropractor after our trip No kettle in the room ( apparently a fire hazard ) and no service either. Had to walk down five flights of stairs to carry uo and open jug of water provided by the kitchen staff Charming is one thing but discomfort is another
My daughter and I stayed at the Quattro Fontane Hotel for two nights with a small tour group in September 2018. The hotel building, furniture, art and craft decor, and grounds are beautiful and unique. We loved our room, and yes, the beds were twins and squeaky and the bathroom a bit dark and quite small, but the charm and ambiance made up for these inconveniences. A wonderful buffet breakfast was served each morning. The front desk staff were a bit cool; not sure if this was their interpersonal style or a language issue. You feel like you are in a quiet, peaceful oasis with Venice just a short boat ride away (15 minutes). The hotel was also an easy 10-15 minute walk to the main part of Lido where there are nice restaurants and shops. It was also a very short walk to the water taxis and Lido Beach. We were, at first, disappointed that we were not staying on Venice itself, but we actually relished having this peaceful retreat to return to after the noise and masses of tourists on Venice. I would recommend this hotel if you are wanting to enjoy Lido Beach and Venice!…
Stayed here with a group on a tour of Italy. Loved this charming hotel!! So many lovely touches everywhere you turn. Bedroom was comfortable, good size and had beautiful tile work. We were pleasantly pleased.
