We were on a family girl's trip during a fall adults only week. It was a blast!!! I spent my 70th birthday with them and couldn't have asked for a better birthday...on top of a horse, on a mountain with a gorgeous view. Wow! Everyone there, from staff to other guests made it a special day. I can't say enough about how great the staff was, from wranglers to kitchen to hospitality (including the bar tender of course) to those we didn't really see. It takes them all to make that great little world go around. Rob, you and Ashley have assembled a fantastic team. I was really impressed by the way they all were friends, not just co-workers, and how they all seem to pitch in and do whatever needed to be done. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay wonderful, and y'all succeeded. I went riding every chance I had and loved it. I also really did enjoy kayaking and the zip line was awesome. I had never done it before, but the coach at the top make it easy to "just step off". Some of the rest of our group did some clay shooting and archery and got a massage and they all enjoyed those also. The food was so good, we couldn't help eating too much, and three times a day at that. The only reason we did not gain weight was the fact we stayed so active, and that was our choice and we enjoyed every bit of it. You don't have to stay so active, you can R&R it too. Oh, the cell service and internet may have been a little problem, but I knew my family could reach me if they needed to and I could get in touch with them if I needed, so I was good without it; besides, I was on vacation! Also, I did not find Covid fear a problem either. It was really hard to leave. You can find other ranches or other mountains, but I don't think you can find a better group of people or atmosphere. I hope to come back and bring even more family with me. I'm glad we found you. Thank you guys for a wonderful memory.

Red Horse Mountain Ranch could be described as the vacation of a lifetime. However, since several people were returning for a second time, and I have already signed up for next year, it is clearly a vacation worth taking over and over. When they say "all exclusive" they mean it, no hidden costs or charges. Well, except for those must have souvenirs. I don't know how the staff does it, they meet you once and from then on, call you by name. An extremely nice touch!! The views, food, drinks, accommodations are all great. But truly the trail rides and staff are what make this a phenomenal vacation experience. If you are considering a dude ranch vacation, do yourself a favor and book this one.

I want to say thank you to all the staff on the ranch! For anyone looking to go to RHMR I highly recommend it! Every moment of our trip was fantastic from the ranch, the food, the horses, and all the activities! What makes this place special aside from all that is the incredible people who work there! I hope to make it back in the future! Thanks again!

Have been to RHMR once before and enjoyed it tremendously, as I did this time. The staff were friendly, the living accomodations were clean and well-stocked. NO TV or phone in rooms, and NO cell phone service out there, but I knew that. The activities were, on the whole, very good, especially the horse riding activities. There were two things what were drawbacks. First, whoever came up with the COVID precautions, such as they were, obviously knew NOTHING of medicine. No masks or social distancing required on the porches and decks, but inside, nobody could go into the bar, or into the dining area without being escorted. Same seating every day and could not change it...even though everyone was mixing and mingling on the porches and decks. Secondly, the internet service is ala 2001!! TERRIBLE is the only word. In this day and age, many of us still have to keep up with responsibilities at home. With NO cell service, the internet / email is the ONLY way to keep in contact with the outside world. It never failed that when I managed to get online, they'd have to reboot the system, sometimes 2-4 times, to get it to work again. This is absolutely unacceptable in 2020, even in a mountainous area!! We have a severely handicapped daughter in Austin, and to be totally out of touch for a week is potentially dangerous, at the least. In addition, I have work responsibilities which do not require my being there, but I do need access to the medical records system at my hospital. Most likely, I won't be going back there, much as I'd like to, until this problem is fixed!! If you truly want to get away from EVERYTHING and NO CONTACT with the outside world for a week, this is definitely the place for you!!

Thank you for the review oldrugged. Due to our remote location, our only option for internet service is via satellite, which can result in sporadic service, often slow speeds and unpredictable outages. Unfortunately, we have no other solutions in our area. You get used to it after a while, but it’s not the same as internet in the big city for sure. Many of our guest find the lack of high speed internet a positive experience! It's a great way to unplug for the week and reconnect with your family. The lodge does have two phones available for our guests and there is no charge for long distance calls within the United States.

I am so impressed by the hospitality that I felt and the service that I received during my week at Red Horse earlier this summer. I was worried that due to the pandemic, I wouldn’t be able to go on vacation this year, but after my conversations with the staff, it was clear that the health and safety of everyone at the ranch was first priority. I saw that as soon as I arrived - with staff’s smiles still evident under their masks. New outdoor hand-washing stations were installed - even in the remote reaches of the ranch. I had visited Red Horse two years ago and was wondering how they were going to adapt the delicious food that was highlight of my stay. I was concerned that with increased health and safety standards that it wouldn’t be as good (or as plentiful😋) this year. They once again blew me away with the options and quality of food. This year, we were individually served during all meals rather than dining buffet style as we had in the past. It was clear that the health and safety of the guests at meal time was paramount. I am so glad that my husband and I were able to safely take a vacation this summer. Red Horse is a special place - and even though other families were there, we received individual attention and the crew bent over backwards to ensure a memorable time. I very much look forward to our next visit.
