The room was nothing special, but the location was unbeatable. If you walked down the road a little bit, you had an amazing view of Hell's Canyon. There are a bunch of farm animals on the property which we really enjoyed watching as well. Breakfast was excellent and just what we needed before heading down to our jet boat trip!... More

Marge, Thank you for your stay with us here at Whitebird Summit. We do have an awesome location here being close to the Snake and Salmon rivers. Regarding the internet service - it is not broad ban that most people are use to. It is the best service we can get being in a semi remote location. We use Hughes... More

Terry and Frank made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The property is rustic and quiet. The trail ride had some great views of the hills and valleys. there many animal on site and much wildlife in the area. Breakfast everyday was home made and great for all tastes.

My wife and I stayed three nights at the White Bird Summit Lodge. Frank and Terri were both great conversationalists. Terri made us feel welcomed, and we enjoyed her coffee, fresh fruit and hot breakfasts. They have horses, goats, chickens, swans, turkeys, ducks, geese, and other birds and animals. They have 4 cats, we only saw two. And two dogs.... More

While this lodge is technically a bed and breakfast, it is not your typical East Coast lace curtain B&B. Frank and Terri are globe-trotting big game hunters and retired hunting outfitters, as the dozens of exotic game heads on the wall and beautifully stuffed and displayed animals in the main lodge area demonstrate. They are also outstanding hosts who transcend... More

We stayed here because it was close to our launch site for a rafting trip. We arrived after dark and found it a little difficult to find, it would be good to put some signage on the road. We had a GPS that saved us. The lodge is rustic and has LOTS of taxidermy of animals from all over the... More

Our family had a very pleasant stay here a week or so ago. We had gone rafting and our truck broke down right as we reached White Bird (Hoots did a fabulous job repairing it). Frank came right down, picked us up, and drove us back down the next day to retrieve the truck. He did not charge us extra... More

We chose this Lodge because of it's location and we were not disappointed! We were looked after so well by Terri, Frank and their team, nothing was too much trouble and they were so helpful in supplying information of places to go. We agree with other people who reviews that it may not suit everybody, but they are very open... More

If you've read some of the other reviews about the White Bird Summit Lodge you probably already know that it's not for everyone. However, if you enjoy the outdoors and appreciate great scenery and wildlife, this is the place for you. Yes, there are a lot of taxidermy mounts from the owner's hunting trips all over the world, but then... More

I have stayed at the lodge more than 20 times. I am impressed each time with the opportunity to really take in the environment and value the relationships I have built with the owners and the new and old friends I have there. Most special to me was the horse rides and the animal pictures I have with my then... More

I live in the area but had not visited the ranch before. I wanted to take some family members on a horseback ride and made a reservation with them. The ride was the real deal. I have been on rides at other places in the U.S. On those occassions the trails were as wide as a dirt road. Not so... More
