We found the room to be simple, a bit dated, but clean. We had a hot shower and a comfortable bed after a long day of riding on our RZR over the McGruder Corridor. The hotel just added to our adventure. If you are planning on staying in Elk City, this is the only game in town. The manager was... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Elk City Hotel & Gift Shop offers a great place to stay in the middle of the Idaho's Nez Perce/Clearwater National Forest. Surrounding forests offer hunting, fishing in streams and high mountain lakes, backpacking, snowmobiling, and much more. We are a traditional motel with a variety of room choices. If you are a history buff, there is plenty of it here starting with the discovery of gold in 1861. The gift shop features a museum with historic photographs and artifacts from those days. Our local historical society, Idaho Gold Fields Historical Society, owns a gold processing mill - called a ball mill - that was built in 1935 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. ... more   less
