It's clean and well kept. Over the years there's been many upgrades and impeccable maintenance. The only downside is the freeway noise, but that sometimes seems inevitable with this kind of convenience.
We only stopped for 1/2 day and one night on our way home but we wished we could’ve stayed longer! We rented the tandem kayak and paddled out to the lake. It was a blast. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the sites are a little narrow and you still get freeway noise. Which we didn’t mind. It was a great place to get off an on. *there was construction going on and the WB on and off ramps were closed. We had to go 5 miles further to get to the campground and the detour on the way home WB took us up into the hills on super narrow roads and gravel back roads.
We had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend at Wolf Lodge Campground. We were in a tent, but reserved a tent trailer site so that we could have power and water. We had extended family staying in other sites, some in tents and some in rvs, and the campground was a perfect place to gather and have outdoor fun. It was a very short drive to the boat launch where we launched our boat. We really appreciated the clean facilities (free hot showers!!) and friendly campground hosts and workers. We would love to come back! The campground is close to I-90, and there is a lot of freeway noise, but that didn't bother us at all.
Very crowded and very busy with lots of traffic noise from I-90. Sites are too close together, reminded me more of an interstate hi-way 'rest area' than a campground. I had to work a bit and the manager, Joy, was very helpful and loaned me her hot spot. It was not convenient but it worked.
We booked this campground for one night on our way in to town . We thought it would be an easy place to stay after a long day of driving, and then we would pack up and move into a state park for the rest of the trip. We are usually pretty rugged, tent campers. When we arrived, our kids eyes lit up! We spent the evening playing volleyball and shuffleboard, and had an awesome fire at our creekside campsite. We also enjoyed the community campfire and hot showers in the beautiful bathrooms. It was the most fun we have ever had at a campground, so we booked one more night. The next night was equally fun, and the kids begged us not to leave, so we ended up staying at Wolf Lodge for our entire trip. It was the perfect place to come back to relax and have a shower after a day at the lake! The employees are the friendliest and most accessible employees I have ever encountered on a camping trip and the campground was the cleanest and most well-kept! The noise from the interstate is a bit loud the first night, but after that you really don’t notice it. We will be going back to Wolf Lodge regularly from now on!!…
