We stayed in Room 3, very beautiful, tasteful decorations and loved the walk-in shower. We checked in and were greeted with wine service. Staff was very gracious and helpful. Enjoyed a nice walk downtown during the Farmer's Market and Alive at Five with live bands. A truly enjoyable way to spend our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Lot's to do within walking...

This little boutique hotel was just wonderful. It is a historic house that has been absolutely made to be a little bit of heaven. Why stay at the resort when you can stay just a few blocks away in this small quaint hotel with such comfortable beds! The owner was such a great lady, breakfast, which is included was so...

The Blackwell hotel is adorable! It has a vintage feel with modern twist. We stayed in room 6. Lots of stairs, (beware of heavy suitcases), but the room was great. The manager and staff were very friendly. We wished we could have stayed longer. The house is old so you do hear some outside noise, but nothing too distracting. It...

The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was nice, but it's an old home with some quirks. We were in Room #6 which is above Sherman Ave so it was a bit noisy at night; the bathroom door knob was nearly stripped so we had a hard time getting out! When the windows are close, you can see...

The house is very well decorated, with modern furniture which brings an elevated mood. Rooms are large and the bathrooms super nice. We enjoyed the breakfast outside. Only remark the ac is always on and makes a constant noise even at night which is a bit unconfortable. There are loads of bar and restaurants in the area to visit.

We stayed at the Blackwell at the end of our 2 week honeymoon road trip and absolutely loved it. We had no expectations for the unique & artsy boutique, but we found it to be tremendously high class with exceptional service. If you are just looking for a standard chain hotel, this is not for you. If you want a...

I booked this "Hotel" based on the reviews I had read. My husband and I were very disappointed and felt the price was unjustifiably high. First of all, if you are not young and in great shape, the stairs are unpleasantly daunting. We were at the very top of the old house. While some people may be charmed by the...

My husband and I wanted a romantic getaway for our anniversary. It was my husband who suggested the Blackwell Inn. He stated, "it doesn't look like Bed and Breakfast." It was a beautifully decorated with old and new decor. The owners have done a wonderful job. No overkill an frilly and flowers like some B&B's. We arrived early, prior to...

Nice hotel, little quirky. We were told when we checked in that no one was on-site after business hours so we would need to call one of the three numbers on their flyer if we needed anything. Sounded a little odd to say the least. Our room, #6, was on the third floor (no elevator) and took us both back...

The Ladies that run this place are the best staff around, they greet you every morning with a smile and are very sincere about your stay there with them. Such a comfy place to stay while in CDA, wouldn't want to stay anywhere else!
