The Roosevelt Inn receives high marks for its exceptional service, with guests frequently commending the caring staff and warm welcome. The hotel's rooms earn praise for their comfort and unique charm, as well as cleanliness. While the atmosphere is described as inviting and often complemented by antique furnishings, opinions on decor vary.
The location is a highlight for many, situated conveniently close to downtown and local hotspots. Although views on value are mixed, with some critiques of outdated aspects, the amenities, including the pet-friendly environment and unique breakfast, are popular among guests.

A wonderful stay. The staff took care to get my reservation right; they secured the dinner cruise tickets I wanted at a discount. We were able to walk the few blocks to the lake and the boat. The grounds and gardens were beautiful, well-tended, and peaceful. The hot tub was great after a long day of travel. We were able to store our bikes securely and parking our truck was not a problem. The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. Breakfast (apple pancakes and fluffy eggs) was outstanding. My favorite of all: the friendly, calm old golden retriever and his yellow lab friend who loved to greet people and be petted.

As a very picky visitor I am thrilled to say that the main floor sitting areas and room were perfectly appointed, clean, and beautifully furnished. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Kristen, easily obtained tickets for us for the Christmas boatride, she made us feel that we were part of the family. Great time!

The Roosevelt Inn is located close to downtown Coeur d'Alene, under a 10 minute walk to many restaurants and shops. The inn is located on a large plot of fenced land, plenty of parking along the street. Walk past the front gate up into the building, and reception is there. The ladies were extremely welcoming and friendly. The room was very comfortable without feeling sterile. Loved the gas fireplace to sit by. The grounds are a good size, and private should you wish to take a small stroll or simply relax outdoors in quiet. The whirlpool area is a delightful little Japanese style building, really enjoyed that. The breakfast was delicious and made with love. Tina is a one woman machine! Would gladly return

The Roosevelt Inn is a special place, an old school house, located within walking distance from everything we needed or wanted. Owners John and Tina will tell you about the history of the Inn. Tina oversees the wonderful breakfast with options that fit every diet. The manager, Kayla, is nothing short of amazing…provided lots of information about the Inn, things to do, places to eat and entertainment venues. She will become an instant friend! The Inn is lucky to have her. This is a B&B so be prepared that rooms are quaint and there is no televisions (we loved this). The wi-fi worked well. We recommend 5is Inn with pleasure.

My wife Karen and I had a wonderful time staying at the beautiful Roosevelt Inn in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. It is very close to the lake and is downtown. The employees were extremely friendly and professional. The rooms are very nice and there is even an elevator, which is not always the case at a B&B. We would highly recommend the Roosevelt Inn to anyone who desires a great value and wants to stay in a first class establishment. You won’t be disappointed!!

Comfort, beauty, personable, history ... and friendly dogs! Just a few of the descriptors I would use for this lovely Inn. As you first walk in you are welcomed by such warmth of people and location. It is an easy walk to the water and resort, which was where we enjoyed dinner on a patio with a view. After check-in, we received a tour and some information about the history of the B&B. The rooms and beds were comfortable and had a charm that I loved.
We were two couples who traveled together and stayed in the Hansen/Larsen room which is two separate bedrooms and a shared bathroom. It worked out perfectly for us. A few specific things that made our experience even better: 24 hour coffee and tea (and hot chocolate), treats in the room (umm, those "crack" cookies were amazing!), 24 hour access to the hot tub and sauna, a fire pit to sit around and enjoy the evening, great breakfast ... and did I mention, beautiful dogs!
The only downfall was we didn't stay longer. I look forward to coming back and spending more time exploring Couer d'Alene, and of course, having more time at the Roosevelt Inn.

We stayed in the two bedroom suite which is an excellent value. Contactless after hours check in was easy. The rooms are well furnished with an antique vibe pretty consistent with the B&B look that is common in the USA. There are no TV's but good internet allowed us to watch a movie on our own device. A walk around the next morning revealed some common areas that were being decorated for Christmas and the friendly innkeeper who made us a hot breakfast. There were plenty of rolls, yogurt, juice, teas, and coffee.

We stayed in the Bell Tower room for four nights. We really enjoyed the room and especially hanging out in the Bell Tower loft and near the gas fireplace. The hotel is conveniently located near downtown and we walked to dinner in the evenings. Being a renovated historic building that was a school, the hotel has a lot of charm. We found parking on the street to be easy and convenient. The room was quiet and I'd say quieter than most chain hotels. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was incredibly friendly; they even had fresh cookies and umbrellas to borrow.

I am so happy we hit so many buttons on your review scale! Our locating I agree can't be beat. The Bell Tower is a very special room, I'm so glad you enjoyed your time there. You can see some great sunset from that room, and a cup of hot cocoa in front of the fireplace in the evening I think is the perfect end of day activity. We look forward to seeing you again. A clean room. The building seems to be quiet as we did not hear any other guests. For $349/night we expected a few more amenities in the bathroom (one tiny basin soap); maybe a lotion, special soap. Since it was Sunday, there was no wine/cheese social. Uncomfortable chairs and settee in the room. There is tea/coffee/water on first floor with cookies for afternoon snackers. Not an especially warm place to stay, considering it is a bed and breakfast. Felt more like a hotel. Could have been an off weekend or Sunday and a too hot Sunday in August. We were expecting more as it was our anniversary and opted for the higher priced room.

If you consider your dog to be part of the family then this is the place to stay! Along with a beautiful historic building for the 2 legged companions to enjoy there is an acre of fenced in grounds for your four footed companions. And to top it off the owners bring out their own "crew" of the most friendly Golden Retrievers to play with you and yours! The breakfast part of the B & B is better than most restaurants you can go to eat at for your morning break. Everything is fresh and many homemade items to choose from as well. We have enjoyed staying there so much we booked a night again as we drive back home knowing that we ALL will be well taken care of!
