The Grove Hotel garners praise for its exceptional location, nestled conveniently close to shops and urban attractions, and its array of amenities, which include diverse dining options and a handy shuttle service. A sanctuary of tranquility, the hotel's atmosphere and spotless rooms offer guests a peaceful and elegant retreat, complete with dreamy beds, although one guest felt the bathroom could be improved. While service is typically seen as warm and efficient, some guests have encountered minor lapses. Despite the additional costs for parking and breakfast, the overall cleanliness and comfort are highly regarded, contributing to the hotel's value proposition.

The Grove is a beautiful, comfortable, conveniently located, clean and sanitized hotel. I knew from the moment I walked in the door that The Grove had taken great measures to keep guests safe and the hotel sanitized. There was ample hand sanitizer located at key locations. There were sanitizing wipes in the room, technology for operating the TV with my phone instead of the remote, and non-essential contact was minimized. In these times of uncertainty and I can certainly recommend The Grove Hotel in beautiful downtown Boise.

It’s a beautiful hotel with surprisingly nice amenities, however, they need to tend to the business.

Had to visit every floor of the hotel in an attempt to buy a bottle of water. All vending machines were empty, but the frustrating thing was there wasn’t a drink machine on every floor. Some of the floors had a snack machine, and some had a drink machine. After visiting 15 floors at the hotel, I found myself out of luck and went to the front desk. They were aware that there were no drinks of any kind in any of the machines. And politely apologized and gave me two complementary bottles of water. Following my half-hour adventure wondering the hotel, i pondered that they could’ve either given me the water at the front desk when I checked in or had some in the room as many high end hotels provide.

Wash rooms are small, but provide all necessities. Beds are comfortable

They have a beautiful fitness center, extremely large with a nice swimming pool and a stainless steel hot tub.

Parking is expensive and the spaces are extremely tight, making it difficult to get your luggage in and out of your vehicles. But conveniently located in the basement under the hotel.

I’m indifferent to whether I would stay here again, unless the event I was attending was centered here.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the fitness center and in room amenities here at the Grove. However, it is disappointing to hear about the difficulties you experienced during your stay. This is not to our standards, and some of these issues could have been avoided. I wanted to let you know that we've reached out to our vending provider to reassess the schedule for when the machines are replenished. We also now have water for sale at the front desk for our guests' convenience. Thank you for providing us with your comments, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. Please feel free to contact me at the hotel and ask for the manager on duty if you have anything additional you'd like to discuss. We hope to welcome you in the future at The Grove Hotel.

Without doubt one of my favorite hotels in the US. Upon an early flight from Seattle and early arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and allowed to check-in safely behind plexi-glass and early to our room for a boys hockey tournament. We stayed on the 11th floor with great large windows with views of downtown. Yes, you could hear the sirens but the blackout curtains hid noise well. The beds were higher grade than I expected. The only downside was the very tiny bathroom with a door to the shower and toilet. I would replace those with a sliding pocket or review the accessibility. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and Sarah in the restaurant and her supervisor deserves a special thanks for making our requests daily. We had three great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the total experience.

We had a decent experience with the comfort of the beds and the view. We were in town for a rafting trip and were looking forward to coming back and soaking in the hot tub afterwards. We didn’t get to use the spa because it closes at 7 on weekends. The tub in our room had been painted and the paint was chipping off. Each time we showered our feet were covered in chips of paint. When I told the front desk they only said they would let maintenance know the tub needed attention. The white comforters in our room had stains and a couple of the towels did too. We pulled into the valley parking when we arrived long enough to drop off a member in our party so they could check in. The vallet staff was extremely rude. They could have easily gave us the same information with a kinder tone and attitude. Due to Covid the free breakfast buffet was closed. I would have thought that they would provide a voucher of some sort to the lobby restaurant to make up for this. They did not. Many reviews I read prior to our stay said the food was excellent. The 4 of us did not agree. Our breakfast dining experience was ok. The food was so greasy that was all we could taste. I’m not apposed to some grease or butter but everything was caked in it. The free voucher for parking during the summer was never added to our bill. We did end up paying $15 a day for parking. The grove was ok. The grove was not excellent.

Hi Jess208495 - thank you for your review. I apologize for the inconveniences you've expressed with your stay. I can certainly understand your frustration and want you to know that these items you've expressed are not typical for our hotel. Regarding your parking and breakfast details - I want to make sure that I understand them fully as our hotel does not offer a complimentary style breakfast buffet, if you have found this information listed in error, I would like to have this fixed if possible. Also, we do have a summer promotion that includes the cost of our the parking, however that rate is reserved under a unique package code, I'd like to verify that this is the package that you reserved so that I can have this corrected if possible. Please let me know if you have a moment, we'll get this sorted out - thank you again! Steve Steading General Manager

Definitely a hotel you stay when you’re connecting to another city. The hotel was hygienic and consciously doing its part in making sure guests felt comfortable during Covid times. The room had a corporate vibe to it. The lighting was mostly “office” fluorescent lighting. The sheets and towels were folded tightly and the housekeeping did an excellent job. Their airport shuttle is helpful. We only stayed overnight. I wouldn’t call it a hotel to visit if you’re visiting Boise. However, it was super easy to book, stay at, and check out while we were passing through Boise.

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel with my sister. The hotel provided a shuttle service from the airport which was great. We arrived early so our room was not ready. They took payment for all 4 nights plus deposit, then stored our bags while we went to lunch. I was texted when our room was ready, and we were given our keys, but no information about the hotel. The person who brought us our bags did not offer to bring them to our room (my sister and I are both over 60) When we got to our room, the refrigerator didn’t work and there was not a “do not disturb “ door placard. A hotel employee took care of these issues quickly. We Connor find and information about the hotel in the room except for what was on the back of the key and on the website. The next day, we left the room about 11, and mentioned to someone in the hall that we would be out of the room for housekeeping. When we returned late afternoon, the room had not been cleaned. I texted the front desk, but did not get a reply for about 2 hours. I found some in the hall and got some towels and coffee supplies. I tried to call the front desk and housekeeping but the phone system didn’t work correctly. As we were leaving that evening, I talked to 2 people at the front desk who apologized and said they would send anything else we needed. The next day, the same thing happened. We needed more towels and our trash was overflowing. I texted the front desk and they sent someone up. Someone from the front desk called to tell me that I had to arrange for room cleaning, and that I shyhave been told at checkin which I wasn’t. None of the 4 people I had interacted with at the front desk mentioned it. I was also told that there was written information in the room but there wasn’t. There was a bar code on the mirror that said “Dining services” that did talk about housekeeping but I didn’t plan to eat there so I didn’t scan it. Yesterday my room was cleaned after I arranged. Today I checked out, got a printed receipt and when I looked at it later, it was for the wrong person.

tl;dr: top floor tower suite was in pretty gross shape due to poor housekeeping/maintenance.

Stains on the sheets, brown stains on the shower curtain, burnt out lightbulb… this experience was a mess for the price we paid.

We got our sheets changed out so there were no stains (and staff was nice about it) but it took over an hour to do so, when all we wanted to do was sleep after an exhausting travel day.

We’ll probably skip this place during our next Boise trip.

They charge $2 for a bottled water and they provide 0 free bottles in your room. In addition, late checkout is 12 pm and it’s $25 per hour after that. They nickel and dime you to death. Location is good and staff is friendly…room service is expensive

I went to the hotel for a wedding and spend the night, but the parking was a mess. The hotel underground parking was full based on a sign and “Guard”, so I was almost late for the wedding ceremony. I had to park nearby and paid $8 for 3 hours. I then went to the wedding and moved my car before the reception because I was then informed that hotel guest has reserved spots in the lot. When I was checking in, they informed that event parking price was $6. The food was very good and the reception was excellent, but the room was very noisy. I stayed on the 7th floor but I could still hear loud voices and traffic noises all night long. When I checked out in the morning, I was informed that I needed to pay a $15 fee for parking. When I asked the attendant about the $6 rate, she tore up my $6 parking ticket in front of my face and charged me the $15 rate. Bad!!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We do our best to accommodate the needs of our hotel guests first, but unfortunately the parking garage below us is on the small side and on busy nights the garage fills up fast. Please know that for this reason on event nights we monitor the garage, restricting entry only to hotel guests. I looked into the issue with the other parking garage charging event parking. It sounds like this was an attendant error, not realizing that Grove hotel guests with the parking pass have already paid for self parking. Being a downtown hotel, parking is an obstacle but we are constantly exploring solutions so that our guests are not inconvenienced. Thank you again for your comments so that we can be sure we are communicating the correct information to the team as well as guests.

I have stayed at this hotel before and they have had impeccable service. This time it was not so. I feel like if I am going to pay almost 300 for a room I should at least be able to park in the hotel's parking. No. We had to go down a block and park in a different garage because there was a wedding of some sort going on so their garage was full but I feel the paying guests should've had priority. We also did not receive our upgrade and no email stating we were not getting our upgraded room.

The reservation notes state that the agent sent a denial letter based on availability on 2/18. This is concerning if you did not receive this communication, and I can see how that would be disappointing. I will follow up with reservations on that note. While I wish you had a better experience, it is feedback like this that we learn from and use to improve. Thank you again.
