We booked two nights here to end a 2 week road trip, and it was just the ticket. Staff is really on top of things - everyone is friendly, helpful and smooth. Our room was very nice - some of the decor is a bit odd, but all the touches were thoughtful and a bit luxurious. Bedding and bed was great - we slept like babies. We got a room with a huge balcony - big enough for a large loveseat and table. We sat out at night enjoying the downtown views. The location can’t be beat - walk to everything! This is really a solid choice when coming to Boise.
Second visit to this hotel last night (we stayed a night in September). We absolutely love this hotel and look forward to staying again in the future. It is a gorgeous hotel in a great location. The bed is better than heavenly. The rooms are super clean and have everything you need. We feel very safe in this time of pandemic. The staff are all respectful and friendly.
The room was spacious and cozy, I love the fireplace and balcony. Great location, we were able to walk everywhere in downtown Boise. Super friendly staff and the snacks in the lobby is a great touch. Would stay there again!
The inn at 500 is a great boutique hotel - good location, attentive staff, well-appointed (if small) rooms. I've dined multiple times at Richard's for business and pleasure, and in 2019 considered booking the hotel for a corporate event. My wife and I wanted a get-away from our house in Boise and were looking forward to dinner downtown and a solid night's sleep with no kids and dogs to keep us awake or wake us up early. Unfortunately, we were in 503, directly below what the front desk told us was a 30's birthday party. The noise level was high: music, furniture dragging around, dancing, occasional thuds sounding like someone fell over, etc. I called down at 8:30 or so to ask when it would be over (not complaining) and was told it would be soon. At 11:00 I called down to ask the front desk to ask them to quiet down. At 4 AM I was fed up - the music, thuds, and furniture sounds continued. I was told their had been numerous complaints and the party had been asked to leave but must have "snuck" back in. At 4:10 the front desk called back to make sure the noise had stopped, which thankfully it had. We finally got to sleep in the quiet. Unfortunately, I had not specified what type of eggs on my breakfast order, so I got a wake-up call from room service at 8 AM (my fault, not theirs). Since I was awake, I made coffee, and sat out on the balcony to enjoy the morning. The folks above us chose that moment to empty their coolers of ice and water onto their balcony (or perhaps in the flower box) - which was directly above our balcony. Cold water spilled down onto our balcony table and chairs, chasing me back inside. I called the front desk and suggested that they charge most of my night's bill to the room above us, as I would be paying only for the portion not affected by the party. To the hotel's credit, the manager comped the room and we paid only for parking and dining - more than fair. However, I am unlikely to return to the Inn at 500. There are other excellent hotels in Boise and for future weekend getaways, I will choose those willing to ensure a few guests …
This hotel and its staff were simply fantastic. The room was big and well appointed, and the shower was the best hotel shower I have experienced. The hotel lobby has free sodas and waters which was very helpful and convenient and the staff was extremely professional and courteous. The location was great; within walking walking distance of all downtown restaurants and the Capitol as well as Boise State University. The experience was so nice I have no reason to even think about staying anywhere else on my next visit.
