This was a great weekend. We got the white room and enjoyed it. Fruit and cheese tray was waiting on us in our room upon arrival. Room was gorgeous with a spacious bathroom and a nice sitting room with a keruig and plenty of coffee. Room offered TV, wifi, hair dryer and iron. The lobby was gorgeous with a grand... More

We were touring the Antebellum Trail and called at the watkinsville visitor centre and they pointed us to this historic house, when in the garden, Mario one of the owners a really nice guy saw us and invited us to see the property. Really interesting place great for a B&B.

We traveled here for a birthday weekend with friends. Ashford manor is beautiful. The rooms are fun, the beds are comfortable and the grounds are magical. Dave and Mario were so accommodating and Heather was so gracious in making us all feel welcome. The breakfast is SO delicious and looks straight out of a magazine. This place is the best!

We just came back from a weekend here where we rented out all 10 rooms for a friend's birthday- it was a fantastic weekend! Beautiful house and separate cottages, the owners Dave & Mario are very warm and welcoming and make the best breakfast each morning (waffles, quiche, fruit), and the grounds are beautiful (especially that pool). Very quiet and... More

This was the 3rd or 4th visit to ashford manor for many of us- we love this place, definitely holds a special place in our hearts! Mario and Dave were wonderful hosts as always, super accommodating for our group of 20! We rented the entire estate for my 40th birthday weekend. I can't recommend AM enough- whether in town for... We stayed here for 2 nights last weekend. It was truly one of the best B&B's we've stayed at (we've been staying in B&B's for 26 years, sometimes 2x a year). We booked the Garden Room, a beautiful and spacious room with a uniquely designed bathroom containing numerous antique mirrors. The owners Dave & Mario are very friendly and knowledgeable... More

Just spent two days at Ashford Manor Bed & Breakfast...this place is amazing! Truly a gem...a five acre estate on Main Street in the quaint town of Watkinsville, Georgia. Watkinsville is on the Antebellum Trail, where a love of the past and Southern hospitality are waiting. Believe me, Mario and Dave know how to serve up some fine Southern Hospitality!... More

The folks at the b&b were very friendly and helpful. The English Room where we stayed was very nice. The beds were very comfortable, individual a/c was appreciated on a hot July night. Decorations were beautiful. Breakfast was great! We will definitely consider revisiting with Dave and Mario. What triggered our stay in Watkinsville were the 3 covered bridges nearby... More

These folks were a special delight. Yep, we are central to several historic covered bridges in the area. One just 10 minutes away. Aside from the very friendly folks that book here, they were inquisitive, engaging and informative. They taught us a great deal. We love when we learn about Georgia from our guests. Though we offer a great deal... More

What a lovely getaway at Ashford Manor! Dave and Schroder are the most gracious hosts. (Mario was out of town so we didn’t get to meet him.) The grounds are beautiful. The Inn is spectacular. Our room was so cozy and comfortable. Happy hour in the Parlor. Morning coffee on the Veranda and the most scrumptious breakfast prepared by Dave.... More

I stayed at Ashford Manor in May. It was very nice and a wonderful breakfast. Just a few miles from Athens and closer to the reunion I was attending. Each room is furnished to reflect the country it is named for and contains items the owners collected on their travels.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We like to think of ourselves as the best kept secret in Georgia. The five acre Ashford Estate, overlooking Watkinsville's venerable Main Street, had been in the same family for over 100 years. Completely surrounded and secluded by a border of magnolias, red buds and pines, the 1893 Victorian manor house, cottage, gazebo and four acres of landscaped gardens all terrace down to a pool and open woods and creek beyond. We are walking distance to antique shops and art galleries of local fine and folk art talent. Ashford Manor and our new facility Ashford On Main are available for weddings, reunions, business meetings, retreats, bridal showers and more! ... more   less
