The Jewell of Vienna greatly exceeded our expectations. The house is so beautiful -- lovingly restored to its original glory and splendor -- and whimsically decorated for the holidays. Our room was very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. And the wraparound porch was the perfect place to sit and chat and wind down the day. The real gems of the Jewell are the hosts -- Bev and Pete. They are so warm and welcoming. We loved the stories of how they found the house and rebuilt it, creating a home and sharing it with others. And Bev's grits are the best! Thank you for a wonderful experience! I hope we have the opportunity to return. -Karen and Lance Stevens
This was our 3rd stay with Bev and Pete. It is like coming home to see family as soon as you walk in the door. They are a super sweet couple that go above and beyond to be sure your stay is exceptional! The house is very clean, rooms are spacious and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious! It your looking for a hidden gem just off I-75 look no further!
We were traveling through the area and booked here based on other traveler reviews. So - confirming that the house is beautifully restored, accommodations quite comfortable, and the morning breakfast nutritious and tasty! Most of all though, we were delighted to get to know Bev and Pete and learn from them a few bits of local history. Made this a special experience!
We enjoyed our too short of a stay. We were passing through on the way to a meeting in Albany. The weather was terrible but we enjoyed sitting on the porch in the rain. The breakfast was lovely and the hosts are very kind.
The hosts were very accommodating. The home was beautiful and very accepting of our dog. I would recommend this to anyone looking for relaxing little town stay. Not far off the main highway. Five stars*****
We "stumbled" on the Jewell as we were making our way home to Florida from the Georgia mountains. We decided to break the drive up and are so glad we did. Pete and Bev are the perfect hosts and the house itself has so much history. Our room was very comfortable and just being able to sit and unwind was great. Bev's breakfast in the morning was to die for!! They are dog friendly and even watched our pup when we went out to get something for dinner. If you are making the trip on I75 in Georgia, dont miss out of this gem!!
My wife and I stayed at the Inn on 9/25/21 and had a wonderful experience. The innkeepers, Bev and Pete were so friendly and warm and spent a lot of time with us just visiting and showing us around their beautiful home. The room was clean and beautifully decorated as was the entire house and the breakfast was very good as well. We would definitely recommend anyone traveling through southern Georgia to give the Inn a try and we would absolutely stay there again whenever we are down that way! Wayne & Brenda Hartford
We received a warm welcome by the B & B owners, Bev and Pete. The home had been restored to its original splendor and was beautifully decorated with the appropriate antique furniture. We had reserved the lavender room which was very nicely furnished and quite comfortable. Everything we could possibly need was provided. We very much enjoyed our conversation with the owners and look forward to our return!
Southern Hospitality at its best from the moment you step on the large tastefully decorated wrap around porch until your good byes. The Jewell is a wonderful bed and breakfast off the beaten track. The hosts, Beverly and Pete, are all about providing the very best in hospitality. They are an amazing couple who went out of their way to help make our stay so enjoyable. The house is decorated with amazing historical items and books. Our room was tastefully decorated and the private bath was well appointed. Breakfast was served in the dining room and was absolutely delicious. What made this trip even more enjoyable was the time spent just chatting and enjoying the evening with our hosts. The Jewell is aptly named as it is the The Jewell of Vienna. Due to circumstances beyond our control we were not able to continue our trip and had to return home the next morning. Our hosts were so understanding and encouraging. After we left Beverly went as far as to call the SAM Shortline Railroad , that we were to ride, and got us vouchers so we can reschedule in the future. That is is what I call caring for your customers. They truly do care about those that stay with them.…
We've stayed at many B & B,s in our 45 years of traveling all across the country and this was one of the Best! From the beautiful and authentic decor to the incredible breakfast which I couldn't finish, and to the genuine Southern hospitality of the hosts Bev and Pete.
