Detailed Reviews
It was a beautiful old Victorian home that had been restored wonderfully well! The hosts, Dan and Tanya, were most accommodating and gave us a tour of the home and the amenities that were available to us. They also gave us some great ideas of where to go and sites to see during our stay. Our room was great with plenty of space and sitting room...with a very nice bathroom and premium TV channels to watch. The best feature of all was the delicious breakfast that was one of the best we have had at any bed & breakfast location. One of the best bed and breakfast experiences to date!

We enjoyed our stay at Simmons-Bond Inn.
The woodwork is lovely on the first floor. The parlor and dining room are very inviting.
Our room, the Elizabeth, was spacious. However, if you aren't used to city noises, this probably isn't the room for you as the Inn is on a busy corner in the city. Fortunately it quiets down at about 10:30 pm and picks up shortly after 6 am. The train crossing is active and the town hall, across the street, has a clock that chimes.
Dan and Tanya are lovely hosts. They were pleasant to talk to and engaged with the guests, but not too much.
They provide tea, coffee, cocoa, and snacks at any time. Also, they serve a wonderful, filling, three course breakfast.
The inn is convenient to walking around the shopping area. You can easily walk to the Currahee Military Museum.

Hello Merry Gayle, Thank you for your very kind review of the Simmons-Bond Inn bed & Breakfast. Tanya and I are glad you enjoyed your stay, our Inn, and the three-course breakfast each morning. As the Inn is in downtown Toccoa, as indicated on our website, there are some outdoor noises around. Yours is the first review that mentioned this while staying in the Elizabeth guestroom, as it is located in the rear, side of the house and not facing the main road and the downtown area. We hope to see you back again, and if it's available, you may choose the Maria guestroom as it is in the back of the house and very quiet. Best regards, Dan & Tanya White

My wife and I spent two nights at the Simmons-Bond Inn recently and found it to be exactly as described in every way. The house and furnishings were of remarkable workmanship not found anymore. The rooms were clean and quiet, although we were in the center of downtown facing the town square.
We selected the smallest room, the Colleen, but did not feel cramped, and thought the "hidden" bathroom behind the bookcase was a clever bonus to the African themed decor.
The hosts provided delicious gourmet breakfasts both mornings and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable. We definitely will stay here again whenever in the area.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet and relaxing getaway and we found it here at the Simmons-Bond Inn! A true Victorian feel as soon as you walk in, with antique furnishings, a stained glass window, and heirlooms all around that give a great aura of history to the house. It felt like I was visiting a historic museum home but instead of just viewing it, I could actually stay in it. All the guest rooms have a theme. We stayed in the "Elizabeth" room, which was spacious and just as described - "antique furnishings, curved glass windows and heart-pine floors, this Victorian style room will make your stay most pleasing." Dan and Tanya were very welcoming and hospitable, always greeting us by our names and providing anything we needed to ensure that our stay was pleasurable. Relaxing on the porch swing was a delight. Be prepared to be more than full with their delicious, filling, fresh, and home made/cooked three course breakfast, served on beautiful 'fine china/porcelain'! What a treat!

We had a lovely stay at The Simmons-Bond B&B. This is a grand home built in 1904 with history and charm. We stayed in the Elizabeth room, which is large, very comfortable with a private bath and shower. This room does face the street with a very large magnolia tree outside of the bay window. Breakfast was 3 courses of delicious items presented in style on china. The owners are friendly and aim to make sure you will enjoy your stay. There is a coffee/tea station upstairs and downstairs to make your own 24/7. There is no elevators. Bring your adult beverage with you to sit on the front porch or in the parlor and take yourself back in time. The home is located in town making it a short walk for dining or shopping. While you are in Toccoa, you much see Toccoa Falls on the campus of the college. The home will be decorated for Christmas.

Hi, there! Thank you so much for your kind words and review. You were a joy to have and we look forward to seeing you again.💜As for HBO, thank you for mentioning that. We have been thinking about adding the HBO channels. They would be a great addition to our already cable and streaming services we provide in each guest room. Till next time, Our Home Will Always Be Your Home!

My husband and I were married at Toccoa Falls, and during that time we had the pleasure to stay here at the Simmons Bond Inn. They were incredibly understanding and helpful during these past couple years of planning, rescheduling, rescheduling once again, and finally giving us the experience that we will remember for a lifetime. The rooms were quaint and comfortable, the breakfast was phenomenal, we had a wonderful time just gathering together on the front porch as well as the dining room when we rented it for dinner. Dan and Tanya provided us such hospitality and made us feel welcomed. In fact, we had a "cake emergency" that they played an integral part in helping us subvert the emergency! Thank you Dan and Tanya for this beautiful experience.

Totally wonderful experience. We stayed 2 nights in mid November 2020. The room was beautiful with prisms on the wall at night from the beveled antique windows. Our son and his girlfriend were opposite of us and had a hallway to the sleeping area which added a nice touch of privacy.
Breakfast was so good the first morning we were really excited to get downstairs the next morning!! They did not disappoint.
Can’t wait to visit family again soon. If your a history buff you will really enjoy the experience! Lots of history and culture awaits.

This beautiful and historic Victorian home provides a great location for a trip to do some hiking and sightseeing. We slept in style in the Elizabeth Room which was very spacious and has a comfy King sized bed. All of the amenities were available, including soda and snacks. Dan and Tonya are warm and welcoming hosts and their 3 course gourmet breakfast is to die for! I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

My wife and I planned a last minute trip to a B&B we visited almost 20 years ago to escape the drama of work and life in general. The new owners are doing great things with the Inn and the location is perfect. We have stayed at dozens of B&B's over the years but this location is ideal for metro Atlanta residents and it's rare to find owners you can bond with and are so down to earth. This husband/wife combo don't view what they are doing as "work." They love what they do and they make you feel welcome in their home from the minute you walk in. That's all you can ask for and we will go back.
