Camped at Raysville for years as a child and adult. When the Corp of Engineers closed this campground, we started camping elsewhere. This was our first trip here in several years. Very quiet and laid back, no internet, tv and limited phone reception but we enjoyed it. We will be back!

We love Raysville! We have been going for vacation here for years and we will continue to go for years to come! It is a great weekend getaway and great for any vacation! My family has raised me and my sibling here and I will raise my kids here. 😊

I will start by saying this is a beautiful place to stay. After we arrived and set up our camp, the host made his rounds. He informed us that we were going to be getting neighbors soon that were "rowdy". He told us we could call if we needed to... Once our neighbors arrived, they told us if we had any issues please just to let them know instead of calling the host. We had to speak to him both nights we were there. Quiet time was supposed to be from 10pm-6am. The music played well past 10pm. The music that was played was full of profanity. Alcohol is supposed to be prohibited but was not in this case. What bothers me the most... The host is obviously fully aware of these campers habits (we were told they are regulars) but the ball was left in our court to complain if we had an issue. When I was 21 I would've loved it but this was a family weekend with a 13 yr old and 3 yr old. We didn't go to get drunk and party. We went to camp and relax.

Beautiful view of the lake from our space. That being said,, the restrooms need some attention. Had to knock down spider webs with big spiders before we could use them. Very old and needs repairs. Water was hot so that is the only thing i can say good about the restrooms. There is s BIG ant and gnat problem. Had them all over in our travel trailer within 4 hours of arriving. Talked to the camp host. He suggested using Comet clenser around the trailer. It stopped them from comming in but we were left with hundreds of little black ants inside. Gnat problem was soo bad we spent all of our time inside.too bad because the sunsets were beautiful. If you dont mind the problems there the price is right .
