Whenever we have guests in town, we host them at The Paxton. Carol has amazing style and has freshened up this beautiful historic Bed & Breakfast with wonderful interior design improvements, strong cocktails, delicious breakfasts, and bikes for trekking back and forth from Broad Street shopping and dining! We have a lot of friends from Tallahassee who come and stay... More

I was lucky enough to stay at The Paxton during my recent visit to Thomasville, GA and it is truly one-of-a-kind. While the house is stunningly beautiful, it's so much more than a place to stay. The owners deep ties to the community are felt throughout and there is an instant feeling of home when you walk through the doors.... More

We loved our stay at the Paxton House. It is beautifully decorated and comfortable. They provide beverages for guests at all hours and also gave treats and snacks. Our room was very cozy as well. It is centrally located within walking distance of the historic district and surrounded by other beautiful homes. Breakfast was great as well!

Paxton House B & B is very well maintained and a beautiful house and property. We stayed in the Grand Suite downstairs close to the front door. It is a fabulous king suite with great bed and bedding and we never heard any other guests or noise. All the rooms looked really good as we toured them all. Owner Carol... More

We have stayed at more B & Bs that we can even remember and The Paxton 1884 is definitely in our top three or four. Loved the good lighting in the bathroom for makeup application and the soft 2-ply toilet paper (my 2 biggest, nitpicky complaints about B & Bs.) We had the four-bedroom, four-bath cottage and it was absolutely... More

Our review for our wonderful stay at the Paxton House (July 3015) is long overdue. However, after staying in a number of B and B's in the past year, this gem located in the picturesque town of Thomasville, GA has become the standard to which we compare all others. The house is an absolute beauty, and with private accommodates (we... More

Upon arrival, I discovered the quaint, quietly illuminated grounds of The Paxton House to be quite enchanting as if recreated from a descriptive poem by Robert Frost. The owners are hands-on, do anything type managers to pamper and please their guests. It is stylish, and charming and the absolute quietest and most private place i have ever stayed. Drinks are... It must be said that the only thing possible better than the careful and deligent restoration of the original architecture was the WONDERFUL SERVICE and GREAT FOOD presented by Carol Whitney and her magnificent staff! My stay was in the "Peach Room" while staying at The Paxton and it was gorgeous with it's 10' high ceilings and original doors that... More
