Cathy and Ian were extremely welcoming to us and our dog. It was very convenient to be able to pop downstairs to the friendly pub and then to have a hot meal after our walk on Offa's Dyke. Cathy was very accommodating with our rather boisterous dog and even gave him treats. Cathy and Ian kindly gave us lifts to... More

Lovely weekend stay at the Swan Inn. This is our third visit. Cathy and Ian are friendly hosts and the pub is ideally situated for exploring the beauty of the local area. Then returning back for a great meal in Elle's kitchen and a drink with the friendly locals in the quaint bar, and we were pleasantly surprised with the... More

The pub looked lovely on arrival and advertised home cooked food. The locals were very chatty and friendly and we received a warm welcome. We ordered our meal which was roast beef. Mine wasn't warm enough and wasn't home cooked either. I was still hungry after finishing so ordered sticky toffee pudding. It was so hot it burnt my mouth... More

Found this lovely place by chance on our way home from a caching event in Llangollen and called in for a drink and a meal. There was a friendly welcome from the staff and the locals and some advice given about the real ales on offer. Meals were ordered and we went through to the restaurant when they were ready,the... I have never been in such a welcoming and friendly place. Everybody spoke to us when we went in. We didn't have to wait long for our meal, it was good home cooked food, very hot and a good price. Perfect night out which included a mile walk both ways to our accommodation.

Stayed at the Swan 18-19 April whilst walking the Offas Dyke Trail. We couldn't have had a better host than Cathy who looked after us throughout our stay and couldn't do enough! All the staff were friendly and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and if the area again would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much!

Had an evening meal when staying locally. Not great. Anaemic frozen chips. Decor in the restaurant area wasn't to our taste. Positives - lovely location and bar area very nice. Also very friendly welcome from staff. Definate room for improvement.

Room was clean, hallways go on forever- very fun! Wales was absolutely beautiful. The girl at the desk was not super helpful when I asked about the wifi. I was having issues connecting. The bar staff was great. There was a bachelor party while we were in the bar and all the men were in drag- UK thing?! I don't... More
