Stayed with my family for 2 nights during my birthday trip on the way to Florida. We wanted to spend the weekend in the beautiful nature setting to break up the long drive. Reading mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, I reached out to the Director of Operations, Alanna in advance to see if she can accommodate our requests on room arrangements and also place us in the room that has been vacant due to COVID concerns. Alanna was amazingly responsive prior to arrival and a pleasure to deal with! We arrived to the hotel much earlier than expected (6am) and were graciously checked in to one of the rooms to get some sleep. Later in the day we were given a wonderful upgrade to a beautiful suite, and adjoining room to make for super comfortable accommodation. Moreover, I have been assured by front desk manager Emily that she personally kept the room out of inventory for 3 days to ensure my request for a vacant room was honored. The rooms are modern and well kept and the lake views are so peacefully serene! The hotel provided complimentary breakfast buffet for platinum members which we took to go each morning ( restaurant seating was also available). The hotel was clean, employees wore masks and we felt really comfortable. The biggest surprise came on the first night of our stay. Emily and the the restaurant manager ( so sorry did not catch the name ) personally delivered a cart full of surprises to celebrate the birthday. Champaign and chocolate covered strawberries for adults, glasses covered in chocolate and sprinkles / milk cartons and amazing cookies/Marshmallow/chocolate sticks plate for the kids. I was blown away!! Thank you so much - such great memories. The hotel location is super special to take hikes in the park, the accommodations are clean and comfortable and the people is what made this the most memorable stay. Thank you Alanna, Emily and the team. We would love to be back . …
We spent a night in Stone Mountain and this resort was beautiful. The restaurant had excellent food and the views were gorgeous. Recently updated rooms and great staff. Easy to get to Stone Mountain park, kayaking, golf or use the two pools. Highly recommend.
Perfect place to stay when visiting Stone Mountain Park. We came for the night to spend a day in the park and view the beautiful Christmas light displays. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my grandson had a great time. He received a gift from Santa and cookies and milk for an nighttime snack. Lunch at the restaurant was delicious. The hotel is easily located and parking plentiful.
Excellent well maintained hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure their guest have a nice stay. The upgrade to a junior suite was most appreciated. The on-site restaurant has good food and service
First off, I get it, COVID, but when Im welcomed with "we are short staff and Im here from another hotel" I figured this probably wouldn't go well. I reserved a ADA room due to the fact that I had a recent surgery and was unable to step into a tub. Upon checkin I confirmed the room was either ADA or at least a walkin shower which I was assured that it was, of course it wasn't! After dealing with the " Short staffed" front desk for 20 minutes, they were only accommodate my request for 1 night. She tried to offset their mistake and not having the room with a 15.00 credit to Starbucks. I appreciated the gesture, but when I went to use it she never credited my account!! I have been to this hotel 2 other time on Thanksgiving and enjoyed the Christmas decorations which is part of the the reason for returning, NOT one Christmas decoration in the hotel, NOT ONE!!!!!! I was truly disappointed in this considering we were traveling as a family. We decide to have breakfast and Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was good, not a buffet, but they served you as "much" as you like to eat. Dinner was subpar, at best. Most of the staff was very pleasant except our server who I think they brought in just for the Holiday didn't bring half of our items unless we asked a second time for them and they rushed us through our dinner! I know what this hotel is capable of, and it is way better than it exhibited on this last visit. If I was a "New " visiter I would not return because Marriott Evergreen did not put its best foot forward this time around.…
