Booked this hotel 2 weekends in early May. The first weekend was fine; clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff. Following weekend (May 9-10) was HORRIBLE! It was graduation weekend at Georgia Southern and I expected to pay a bit more for accommodations, but this property tripled the rate (From $89 to $290) for one night's lodging) but the service was 3 times worse. Twice during the weekend, the elevator did not work. Breakfast left a LOT to be desired; no water, no bread for toast, fake eggs, and the coffee maker ran out of coffee. I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel for a fraction of the price charged for this property that is old, carpets worn and dirty, pool dirty and stinky. Would not recommend this property to anyone and will never stay here again.

Booked a 2-night stay at this hotel for a business trip recently and was instantly hit with the smell of mildew. The front desk staff said it was due to the humidity in the pool area. I looked into the pool area that is right off the lobby and sure enough, mold was everywhere on the doors. The patio outside is filthy and dark. When I checked into my room on the 2nd floor the room also smelled musty. During the evening, my eyes began to get irritated and my allergies kicked in. When I awoke in the morning, I was horrified to find what appeared to be a roach or beetle on the bed. I immediately went downstairs and told the front desk staff about this and showed her a picture. I also restated that the mold was so bad that I was having an allergic reaction to it. She stated it was the pool again (no offer to change room) and stated "we have exterminators out 2 times a month. It is Georgia and we get bugs in" I told her I would be checking out a day early/immediately. I have tried to call and speak with the off-site general manager to no avail He has not returned my calls. Will never stay here again.

The 1st room we were in, smelled very musty. That night my husband found mold on the bottom of the particle board bathroom door. We went down to notify the front desk, they were very nice and quick to upgrade us to the king suit. But every room we tried to switch to, was either worse on the door or had a base board full of mold. I asked for the manager to call me to talk about it. They never did, instead, left the staff to rely the message. Instead they told me it wasnt mold, it was moisture build up from the shower and needs to b removed with a special chemical since its laminate. That is the definition of mold. When I walked by the room, it smelled of vinegar and bleach. I took pictures but c there isnt a spot to post them. Will never come here again.

We stayed at the Eagle's Nest on 3/15/19 and were very disappointed with our accommodations. The price we were forced to pay was much higher than the advertised rate, even with a AAA discount. There was rust around the sink and tub drains. There was mold around the tub area. We attempted to take advantage of the complimentary breakfast, however the area was very crowded and did not offer enough seating. I would definately not recommend this hotel.

Don't be fooled by the display of Eagle colors. This hotel is awful. It is in need of painting and room services. Upon arrival if found hair on the bathroom and in the shower. The towels and toiletries are of poor quality. The plumbing is poor. When my toilet stopped up i was told by housekeeping to pick up a plunger and fix it myself. When I refused the nice lady at the front desk tried to resolve. The ventilation is bad from the pool bad forcing you to smell the chlorine and deal with the humidity. They keep the door in the pool area open. This was the last local hotel I tried from all my visits to Statesboro. Save yourself the trouble. Spend you money elsewhere.
