We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Silver Comet Trail and it was a very pleasant stay. We were greated warmly by the manager at check-in and every time we entered or exited the building. It is the personal touches like that that go a long way. There are several choices for dinning that are walkable which was another plus. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again if our bicycle travels bring us back to the Silver Comet Trail.

I come to Atlanta a lot and usually stay downtown, but because of the protests, I ended up by the perimeter. Still 15 mins from downtown. I liked the hotel, staff was friendly, clean rooms, restaurants nearby. Will be back fa sho.

Love the staff here! Gabi is great! Everyone is so friendly. Glad I chose to stay here Before the virus, the continental breakfast was nice and I’m sure when it returns, it will be just as nice. The lobby is always clean and smells nice, no vagrants hanging around and no crime. The staff remembers you by name so it really makes you feel like you’re not just another customer.

Direct copy from what I've sent Red Roof Customer Service survey: I've stayed in a lot of RRIs...probably at least once a month...and this was the worst one I've ever stayed in. When I pulled in, I was impressed by the exterior and the lobby, as thought that was the nicest RRI lobby I've ever seen...and that's where it ended. Checkin had me waiting for a good 10 minutes processing previous patron, but mine was fairly efficient but unfriendly & literally only said about 10 words to me. When I got out of the elevator to go to my room, there's a big liquid stain all over the floor you have to step over to get out of the elevator. The hallways to the rooms have litter all over the floors, like they hadn't seen a vacuum in weeks. Carpet is not laid flat and has a bubble in the middle down most of the hallway (which is fine, but made to look worse when it's dirty) & scuffs all over the walls. I had booked a "premium king suite", which I would think would be one of the nicest rooms available. However, the housekeeping of this particular room was clearly subpar. Floor had not been swept--there was debris (kleenex?) under the bed skirt, and crumbs/dirt all over the floor. Not subtle hiding around the edges type dust--literally can see it in the middle of the floor as soon as you open the door. Crumbs on top of the nightstand. A bug greeted me from the bathtub when I walked in to the bathroom, which also looked like it had a dirty footprint in it. Another fell out from the faucet when turned on the water. The tub wasn't draining well. I looked under the stopper to find the grossest hairball I've ever seen. Once I removed it and stopped dry heaving, magically the tub drained fine. It's sad when I apparently had to do more housekeeping than the housekeeping staff. The free popcorn offered in the lobby is probably the worst thing the hotel can do if it's not going to put an emphasis on housekeeping. Popcorn is EVERYWHERE. Multiple pieces in my room, all up and down the hallway, elevator, etc. Stairwells are pretty gross. One is covered with leaf litter from outdoors that clearly has been there all fall. Same stairwell also contained two beer bottles that had appeared over night. So avoided that one and went up another....which someone had dropped a coffee in & other debris, so ended up avoiding that one too. Some rude folks came in boisterously around 4 am yelling up and down the hallway & woke me up. That is out of managements hands, so can't lay that on their heads. Check out was also odd. I waited at the desk for minutes with no one in sight. A young lady popped out from the breakfast area, attending to tidying up the coffee/water area. Asked her if I could check out. She said just leave the key on the desk. Didn't ask how my stay was, and I felt like she didn't want to take the time to deal with me & wanted get back to what she was doing. I thank god that I used points for that stay, as I should have demanded some sort of refund for such a subpar experience. I'm pissed that I wasted points on that crap of a stay. I got there a little before 9 pm and couldn't get out of there fast enough and left around 6:15 am. What should have been a treat and indulgence of a room, turned in to disgust and just trying to stay on the bed to avoid touching anything gross. I will say the one nice thing was the "luxury bedding", which I did find nice & comfy and different than the typical RRI bedding so at least I slept well on a comfy bed. The area seemed like a fairly nice area--would say upper middle class. Cute little shopping area with some nice little restaurants across the street and a Starbucks. For a nice area, I certainly expected a better hotel experience.

I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I booked for three nights while visiting Atlanta for the weekend and upon arrival was told that my reservation was canceled due to my credit card, that was provided at booking, being declined (spoiler alert: that was a lie). They didn’t even let me know they had canceled the reservation days before my arrival. How can you not inform someone that their hotel reservation was canceled?! To make things worse, this happened to two other people who attempted to check in while we were there trying to find another hotel to book. One of the ladies said that she had paid in full despite being told her card was declined as the excuse for why her reservation was canceled. The person at the front desk then told me that even though they were sold out, he could get my sister and I a room. Not sure how that’s even possible if they are “sold out.” At first it was at a higher rate and after declining, he then offered at the same rate we had originally booked. Again, we swiftly declined because after what happened, we were not about to give them our money. We were lucky to find a better hotel last minute and things ended up working out in the end, but this put a damper on the start of our trip for sure. The seemingly low price isn’t worth the hassle.
