I really enjoyed the fish cakes in spicy sauce and chips. Also the comfy sofa in the bar. The staff are friendly and service is great. Pity I wasn't more hungry as I would have had pud! Wifi fast and reliable.

We visited this pub while we were on a canal boat holiday. There were six of us and we all had a different meal from the menu. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Generous portions and very fairly priced. Delicious. Service brilliant too. Made a special stop at Croperdy on our return journey just to eat here again. We... More

Having visited this pub when the music festivals have been on, I was happy to stop off here again to break up our trip when driving from Nottinghamshire to Hampshire (and I'm pleased to say my fellow travellers were very impressed with my choice). We settled for a range of starters (and drinks, mainly tea !) and were provided with... More

Two nights in family room (one double, one single) with ensuite bathroom, ground floor. Excellent shower, very comfortable beds. Very good breakfast. Good value for money. Booked direct by 'phone since LateRooms did not provide clear explanation of room configuration/pricing. Booking process very easy, staff friendly and helpful throughout. We had one evening meal, good quality.

We didn't stay here but drank here a couple of times and ate here once while at a wedding in Cropredy. Real ale was kept in good condition but, much like most pubs, not a massive choice. Four of us ate here one evening and although my home made Steak and Stilton Pie was excellent the other three had quite... More

Very hospitable and a great place located near the marina at Cropredy! Glen and Nate were two people to mention who made our stay in the area very worthwhile! Good honest pub grub is how I would describe the fair! We had the ribs and went back again for more! In a sleepy backwater this is a very nice little... More

Staying close to Cropredy and saw this pub. It was a lovely place with a small bar and separate restaurant. The food was delicious and there was plenty of it. Very good value for money too. The service was great, staff were very polite and attentive. Will definitely be visiting this place again soon and look forward to visiting this... More

This pub is very popular with boaters from the Oxford Canal, and the local marina, so you need to book for dinner in the evening. We booked and got the very last table: the place was really packed. Service was fast, friendly and efficient despite having so many diners. Food arrived after about 30 minutes, but was hot and clearly... More

The Brasenose Arms is a 17th century Country Inn, situated in the heart of Cropredy, a rural village just 4 miles north of Banbury, Oxfordshire. Originally three cottages, it was converted into a Public House in the late 17th century.Today, it hosts Britain's (if not Europe's) 'friendliest' music festival - Fairport's Cropredy Convention - staged every year in August by members of the great British folk band - Fairport Convention. Here they are, sitting outside the pub, for the photo on the back of their 1973 album 'Nine'. Contemporary en-suite accommodation is available in a recently converted barn. Six rooms are available - 2 Doubles, 2 Twins (1 family) and 2 Singles all with en suite showers, TV and hospitality trays. Ground floor rooms have disabled access.
