This was my first time to Sea Island and I will absolutely be back. The Cloister at Sea Island was as nice of a property as I've ever stayed at. It's apparently a sister property to the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs which is also an amazing property. Absolutely stunning

Sea Island should be a “Ritz Carlton “ type experience. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Always looking for tips. Food was overpriced and barely adequate. If you wanted a drink it took 20 minutes in the main bar. Severely understaffed.

A visit to The Cloister is to enjoy old world luxury. The staff is excellent and the facilities are superb. The grounds are well maintained and boast multiple flowering shrubs and plants. An excellent choice for a vacation or business conference.

This property embodies Southern Hospitality. From the minute our airport shuttle arrived until we were returned back to the airport 5 short days later, every staff member provided exemplary service. The property is simply astounding - so many beautiful places to stroll and sit.

The spa is in a separate building with a center water area where you can wait for services. Lots of amenities in the dressing rooms and peaceful area in the back with a plunge pool. Upstairs to the massage areas. Lovely.

Is the red tide affecting the Sea Island Cloister beach at this time?
Sorry I'm just seeing this, but I saw no evidence of red tide when I was there and I definitely swam in the ocean

We stayed in the main house area and our young chidren constantly enjoy the beach club and kids club. There are immediate golf shuttle cars and it's only a four minute walk from the main house to the beach club. However, there are beautiful rooms at the beach club and the ocean residences are something we are considering for next year for an extended stay as this will have access to laundry facilities and a kitchen. The place is just amazing. Enjoy.

"We stayed in the Garden Tower, which is newer. The room, however, had the same charm of those in the original building. Very quiet!"
"Room 868 in the Garden wing."
"Ask for a water view or beach side. "
"I like the updated rooms in the garden location the best."
"There's no "bad room" at The Cloister. Pick where you want to be!"
