I stayed here with my family, one night only due to a water main break in my neighborhood. Room 439 was in severe need of repair. The smoke detector was hanging from the wall wrapped in a plastic bag. The bathtub had bad rust stains. The towel rack was hanging from the wall. The room says it's non smoking but there were cigarette burns on the table. I'm deeply disappointed in my recent stays at Hilton brands as they have all been run down. The rep at check-in had great customer service. That was the only good thing.
Based on the reviews I previously read, I almost didnt book this hotel. However the hotel was pretty nice. There was a lot of people checking in which surprised me. Due to Covid I thought things would be different but it wasnt. Everyone was still wearing their masks, hand santitizer stations and social distance signs were everywhere. My room was very spacious and clean for the price I paid. The carpet and walls could use some good cleaning. I could tell it was old stubborn stains and they may have to replace the carpet altogether. I had the double queen executive floor suite with a kitchenette which included a microwave, sink, and refrigerator. The bathroom had a separate tub and shower, and a separate partitioned sink area where the closet, iron and safe is located. The bedroom is separated from the living room with french doors, and the living room has a sofa bed. I stayed in room 514 which had a balcony from the living room; and a view from the bedroom's big windows of the tall pretty glass buildings with the white design on top. The hotel also has a suite shop which sells different goodies but very pricey. There is a publix grocery store around the corner. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel with my children…
For the price i paid, which was in Hilton points, but less points than a standard Hampton, fur a one night stopover on a long road trip, i really can't complain. But, this place is run down. As is the staff. The "breakfast" was embarrassing. I know everything's messed up wroth covid. But it was a bruised, beat up apple,a granola bar, and the worst cheap vinegary OJ. As a long time honors member, i actually felt ripped off that i chose breakfast for my "MyWay" benefit. The staff wasn't terrible. But they really seemed like they couldn't care less. Supposedly the lounge was open for another hour and a half the night we got there with a limited menu, but after waking around in there for a few minutes calling out, we gave up. Didn't seem worth going back to the front desk, she'd already made it clear she wasn't interested. Rust around a leaky tub faucet, chipping paint, etc. It wasn't even close to up to Hampton standards, much less a property flying a Hilton Flag. More like a Travelodge. TL;DR, if you're staying here on the cheap as an honors member, take the points over breakfast. And don't expect much. You're not getting a deal on a slow Hilton that's trying to fill rooms due to lost business travelers, you're getting a run down desperate property trying to not completely go under and trying everything possible to save money.…
Loud, physical, fights in the hallway at midnight. Pillow cases and carpet are stained with makeup everywhere. Air conditioner went out and I am still waiting over an hour to see a tech. Big rooms and a small walkout balcony, but I won’t be coming back.
Chose this property for I always prefer a suite type of room. The separate bedroom and living space are a nice feature...one I always look for in a property. I also enjoy easy access to my vehicle as I am in and out of the hotel a lot. I'm certain at one time, this was a nice hotel in the Hilton chain. Unfortunately, it is now outdated and run down. Very sad that the Hilton chain hasn't recognized this and updated for it is in a good location. I travel frequently and would never stay here again.
