I showed up after midnight and even though my reservation had been cancelled, the assistant manager worked hard to find it and apply the lower quoted price. This was above and beyond my expectations. Clean and comfortable room.
The hotel is very beautiful and the staff took great of us, the suite is huge and the room with 2 doubles are big to I enjoyed my stay and o will be returning again, thanks for taking very hood care of us
Stayed here for 4 nights. Hotel staff is excellent. They will take you to any restaurant within 3 miles (which are quite a few) and pick you up. Room was clean, breakfast was good with a variety of choices. Area secure and monitored. Will definately book there in the future.
After being scheduled for surgery at Emory St Joseph very early we drove down the week before to check out the hospital and traffic. It was obvious that we would need to come in the night before to arrive in time so searched for the closest affordable hotels. We have always found HI Express to be consistant and affordable so we stopped in to the closest one to check the rates. Traffic near that area is horrendous and hotel rates there are nearly double what they are in most areas of the country for the same hotel brand and room type. When we walked in the lobby and asked the rate it sounded far more reasonable than other hotels nearby. However, when we agreed to book a room for the dates we needed the desk clerk handed me the hotel phone and said I had to make it over the phone. She dialed it and handed it to me. A gentleman who answered confirmed I was a rewards member and we asked for the medical rate as instructed by the desk clerk. We confirmed the 2 consecative nights we needed and were given two different confirmation numbers and we drove around the area a short time to get a bit familiar with the path from hotel to hospital and then searched for quicked way home as it was getting dark. The next day I went online and looked up our confirmation numbers and was shocked at the actual rates with taxes and fees and the huge difference between both nights. It totaled around $350 for two nights which is way more than any HI Express we have ever seen. We were not even sure if I would be staying in the hospital after the first night or if we had to drive back and forth for two days of tests and surgery before the Inn's shuttle was available. Because of the confusion and fear of travel, traffic and very early required hospital check in times we kept the reservations to insure we had a way to make the appointments on time. The hotel was typical of any HI Express in looks and standards from fiirst impressions. The room was a single King on the top floor with a sofa and fairly large wide screen TV. The many light switches were somewhat difficult to find and use as some had very small buttons and some were placed upside down and some sideways so you just had to fumble with the switches in the dark from check in to check out. The exhust fan in the bath did not turn on and off with the light and was very loud with no way to turn off. It ran so hard that it sucked a lot of air into the room through the HVAC wall unit and even had cool air coming in from the bathroom metal door frame. Although their was a wall mounted thermostat the HVAC unit on the other side of the room under a window was difficult to maintain ant set temp and took hours to warm up ot cool down so we had to mess with it a lot to get comfortable. The bed mattress was pretty hard and not very comfortable for side sleepers so we up nearly all night waiting for the alarm at 4AM so we could find our way to the hospital in time. We had to check out at front desk before we left and then check back in after 3 PM to see if we could even remain in the same room for the second night and the shuttle doesn't run that early so we packed everything back in the car and fought through traffic to find our way to the hospital. After arriving we found that I would be staying in the facility and not able to leave for three days so my wife would need to just shuttle back and forth to the hotel and then sleep in a chair in my hospital room the third night. Fortunately a very nice lady who worked night audit and breakfast helped her out a lot as everything else was chaos and uncertainty from Wed afternoon hotel check in untill Saturday noon when I was finally discharged from the hospital but not allowed to drive. If not for a few very nice employees at both the hotel and the hospital it could have been one of the worst experiences of our lives and was certainly a very expensive weekend to spend in Atlanta's Perimiter Mall area. We hope never to have to ever revisit that entire area again and our hearts go out to the great employees of hotels and hositals who have to deal with the overwhelming traffic, parking and timing needs to be able to commute to work there. They have to be very dedicated and we appreciated all of them very much.…
Parking right close to the elevators, great breakfast, upgraded interiors (lots of power USB chargers) and clean-posh rooms. Nice and friendly staff. What else can one ask for. Like it’s mentioned in the title - Best so far in Atlanta.
