40 years are coming to the King and prince and I’ve never been treated like this before. Front desk. Bellman etc. no service at bar. The whole staff acts clueless. Resevavations says one thing front has no clue.
My family and I absolutely loved our suite here! The rooms and bathrooms were large and very clean. It's always nice to have a laundry machine in the room as well. The balconies had absolutely beautiful views. It was a very short walk to get to the pool areas, which were lovely. It was also a very short walk out onto the beach. It's an easy distance to anywhere else on the island. Would love to stay here again. Thank you!
We stayed in this property for two nights. With a published check in of 4 pm, we arrived to find out that it had been extended to 6 pm! We Agreed to have lunch in the hotel…only brunch was being served which we really didn’t want. After A 45 minute wait, our table was given to another couple and we were facing additional wait time. We declined our reservation and ate elsewhere. Our room was partially newly decorated. The linens were nice, however our refrigerator was broken, the shower had mold, and the bathroom cabinetry was dated and severely scratched. The staff was friendly, the view was decent as we requested water view. But we felt for the price, the facility and service should have been much more professional.
Wonderful old school grand hotel. Try to stay in the historic building, it's very plush. Big soft beds and sheets. Beautiful views of the ocean, nice pool area, swings looking out over the ocean. Friendly and helpful staff. It is fairly expensive to stay here, but you will be pampered.
I’m not usually this critical in my reviews but I don’t usually spend $2,000 to spend 5 nights at a resort. So: the resort is 5 stars, the location is 5 stars, the staff is 5 stars. The room is 3 stars. The whole place was “wow” but the room wasn’t up to the standards of the resort. It was surprisingly plain after our visit to the lobby to sign in. The bed (except for the squeaky headboard) was very comfy. But the room looked worn and well used. The furniture was very plain and kind of “industrial grade”. Example: the chairs on our balcony (wonderful view!) felt like cast iron heavy duty. We had a problem with a leaky toilet, a door that locked us out and a coffee pot that you had to hold the lid down to make it work. The resort responded quickly to these issues and even the maintenance persons were very friendly and courteous. Like I said, I’m being picky.…
Awesome place this is my third visit. The condos are incredibly nice...best ever! Suggest a high floor for better views of the beach...which is huge! Great drinks @ the bar, good food...plenty of restaurants downtown too! Everything was great....get up early if you want an umbrella by the pool.
Beautiful beach front setting, main lodge luxurious, desk staff polite. However our room was mediocre, mattresses fair, light above bathroom sink never worked, very small ants all over dry bar/reg ridge area. Visitors in room next to us loud, screaming at 1 am. After 20 minutes of this we did call front desk and they addressed promptly for temp resolution.
We stayed in the Wynn Cottage last month because we wanted a little more space and was traveling with our dog. The cottage is a separate building with it's own entrance and parking space. We were 1/2 block from the resort entrance and approximately 1 block from the beach. The cottage was definitely in need of updating. The popcorn ceiling in the bedroom was peeling off. There was very little storage in the bathroom, which is less than ideal. Resort amenities were all great, just the room needing a little sprucing up.
First off....the initial buildings of this resort opened in 1935. It is a very historic property built into a nice beachside neighborhood. Overall the property is immaculate both inside and out and well taken care of. All of the rooms are exterior entry. We had an oceanfront room overlooking the pool. The view was fantastic even though it was 48 degrees and windy. The rooms are respectable in size except for the bathrooms. The bathrooms are not small.... they are tiny. If you sit on the toilet you can touch the only sink and the shower/tub at the same time. More than 2 people in any room would be a huge challenge. Again....these buildings were constructed when bathrooms were somewhat of an afterthought. The employees are all very well trained, professional, helpful and genuine. There are 3-4 very good restaurants within walking distance of the resort. The beach is very nice and clean. Very nice historic property overall. …
We dined here over the 2022 Christmas weekend and found the menu a little short on offerings. While the Charcuterie Board was well done and broad in the offerings, the pork chops were considered truly excellent. Service was third class, un-attentive and even failed to return a copy of the charge sheet. There was not Christmas spirit around. Lighting in the dining room was distracting due to diverse light sources and too much of it as well.
