My mother and I shared a very special, life changing stay at Amatierra. We spent our 7 day, 6 night trip with a group of wonderful ladies of all ages and stories. This wellness centre is unlike any other. The energy on the property, the beautiful trees and surrounding wildlife was unbelievable. We spotted toucans, iguanas, scarlet macaws... you name...

I picked this place because of the yoga and wellness aspect and it really turned out to be a fantastic vacation and retreat. The owners, Bob and Jill, are American and that made it simple to communicate. Bob and I spoke on the phone beforehand and he helped me pick out a package, which was a 7-day all inclusive trip...

I was hoping to add a day excursion to zip line and by the second day was happy and content with exactly what I purchased. Jill and Bob were gracious, knowledgeable and attentive hosts. The guests that were there also made for a wonderful experience. I met a friend there. I live in CA and she lives in MA. The...

I was very fortunate to be able to spend 8 days at AmaTierra over the New Years holidays as a single traveller. The retreat is located in a fairly remote area approximately an hour and a bit from the main airport. I was met by one of the drivers that works for AmaTierra which was great as the airport is...

Wonderful place to stay leading my first yoga retreat in CR. Rooms are comfy tho some modern upgrade could enhance the experience. Bob, Jill & Staff are wonderful and always ready to make your stay wonderful. I love the meals, but if you are a meat eater, pls realize this is a vegetarian, organic retreat center. I also encourage travelers...

We're so appreciative of yoga teachers bringing groups to AmaTierra and we're glad it was a good experience for this group leader. We do want to say that while it is true we don't serve red meat here we do serve fresh fish and organic chicken along with lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, many grown on the property. It...

My girl friend and I wanted a relaxing yoga retreat and Bob made that happen for us when I reached out to him. His quick detailed responses made it brainless for us. I literally booked my flights and made my deposit and forgot about the trip until it happened. Amatierra is a true nature's gem hidden up on the mountains...

Bob & Jill, the owners of Amatierra, are truly gems. They’re friendly, engaging, and knowledgable not only about Costa Rica but also the healing arts and music. (Ask Bob about the 60’s!). We felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived until we (sadly) had to leave. They have a down-to-earth generosity and warmth which added to our pleasurable experience....

I spent a truly remarkable two weeks at AmaTierra. The owners, Jill and Bob, are warm, knowledgeable and professional. The staff is friendly, kind, and seem to really enjoy working here. The casitas are perfect: ceiling fans, screened windows, and lush landscaping. The pool is perfect for an afternoon dip and the food is fresh, high quality, and delicious. The...
