If it were not for the ski in ski out location and the excellent service in the boot room we leave today feeling really quite disappointed with the hotel overall. The service in the restaurant from breakfast through to dinner as well as the outside bar is slack to say the least, I genuinely cannot remember when I last states...

I didn't stay in the Portetta, but stopped at the outside bar most days for lunch or an après ski drink. 2 fantastic Barmen with great chat - George and Scott made us very welcome - not very common in Courchevel. Good lunch menu and good happy hour prices. Boulotte bar, close by also very friendly. Hope to come back...

Our 6th holiday at Le Portetta and yet another great week, usually we stay for New Year, this was our first time at Christmas and a great success (Santa found our 17 and 19 year old children!). The hotel has changed a lot since we first visited, but it is good to be welcomed back by Nicholas the manager who...

Have just stayed for one week with half board. This hotel is excellent. Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed, quiet rooms, spectacular views, excellent food, great service. Really very special. Fabulous location and would recommend Courchevel 1650 over 1850. However we did not personally like skiing in Courchevel. Boring slopes and far too busy with out of control skiers. Poor skiing infrastructure...

We were staying elsewhere in Courchevel, but ended most days with a drink at the Fire and Ice bar at the Portetta. They have a large ourside seating area, including a good number of sofas that come complete with furry rugs to keep you warm. The service was generally very good. It felt a tad slow at times, but I...

Just returned from a week in Le Portetta with five children and two other families. Firstly it's a super location in 1650 at the bottom of the main run into the village and right beside the main lift out. You are right in the village , a minutes walk from shops and restaurants and right beside the ESF and New...

After days of research and deliberation, my father and I chose Courchevel 1650 and Hotel Le Portetta to be the destination for his first ever ski trip. This turned out to be a marvelous decision and we both had a wonderful time. Our moods were high as soon as we arrived at this homely, relaxing and welcoming hotel - perhaps...

We stayed with our kids (17&19) just before Easter. With a private transfer we took just over 2 hours from Geneva to get to the hotel. The tone of the trip was set by the friendly manner in which we were welcomed both by the reception staff and later that evening by the Hotel Manager - something that is not...

We stayed for 5 nights at Le Portetta in slope facing room. The hotel is perfectly located at the bottom of the 1650 slopes and not more than 30m from the main gondola. The rooms are beautifully appointed and even though they are a little small, everything is well laid out and the view up the mountain gives the room...

Second year running we have stayed here having eaten lunch when skiing over from other resorts over 5 years. Its a seriously thought out ski hotel, it 4-5 star without the glitz and deep pile carpets. Simply chic and classy interior design, stones floors, fires, great rooms, great casual staff, and even somebody to help you on with your boots...
