Older motel, rooms were spacious. No continental breakfast. It never occurred to me there wouldn’t be a coffee maker in the room but there isn’t. Circle K is right down the road about 2 miles. Rooms have a mini fridge and microwave. Overall the room was very clean, would say the windows could use a good wipe as well as the mirror in the main part of the room. Beds were comfortable. The couple at the front desk were hospitable. The price is right if you’re looking to stay a night or two while visiting Callaway gardens or Franklin Roosevelt Park.

Owners held my room reservation with just my name and number. Were friendly from the time I called through check out process. If you arrive late you pick up a phone outside office and owner runs over from his neat home beside hotel. Clean room and grounds and very close to Call away gardens. For $55 was right in line with price points for area and just low enough to encourage me away from staying 35-45 minutes away in Columbus. Don't expect a Marriott and you won't be dissapointed.

This motel was charming. I loved the "antique/ art deco" vibe of the furniture in the room and the 4 poster queen sized bed. Small yes, but adequate for what I needed in Pine Mountain for one night. There was a microwave and a mini-refrigerator. The bathroom tub/shower had some wear but it was clean, adequate, it is an older motel. I agree, somewhat, about the grab and go breakfast not being fancy, but it came with the room. They are not even obligated to provide it.
I am dismayed at the negative reviews here. If you're looking for a resort; look else where; and pay big $$$. I met a couple at breakfast nearby that had stayed in a camping area in a "yurt' no private bath not even a coffee pot and paid more than I did. They said they would go to white columns motel next time, too. I had a quaint night's stay for a reasonable price. Would consider returning when I return to Pine Mountain.
The staff was so friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. It was noticed and appreciated.

Travelled to Pine Mountain, GA, January 19, 2006 as was not pleasantly surprised in which the pictures and the previous reviews depicted WHITE COLUMNS MOTEL. Before checking in, we walked through the room and didn't receive me that cozy or warm feeling. It smelled of stale mold and mildew and thought our clothes would eventually smell like the room by the next day, so it was decided to not check in there and check in a little ways east at DAYS INN. We were more comfortable there. The proprietors at White Columns are very nice and they tried to accomodate us, but not to our satisfaction. The rooms have not been updated at all as stated, so be cautious...

I stayed for a week at this place, it is a very quiet and nice small motel with rooms where there is no room above or behind your room. Also, it has a beautifully landscaped ground area and a big magnolia tree with a swing where you can stretch your legs under the shade during evening times.

Motel is just few minutes drive to nearby attractions Callaway Gardens, wild animal safari, butts mill farm , Little White house and also walking distance to great restaurants and pine mountain downtown.

I would highly recommend this motel which also has free high speed wireless internet with Cable TV, Microwave and refrigeratior in each room.

Their service is excellent and I loved their morning coffee and breakfast !!

If you want to save money on a room and spend it all at Callaway this is the way to go. But, why not stay down the road in Days Inn. The rooms decor was very old. They tried to make it as clean as possible, but the furniture is worn and the carpet is dark and old. This was nothing like the pics on the web. The service is wonderful, everyone is helpful and very friendly. The lock on the door was unsecure. My bed squeaked everywhich way I turned. I would not recommend unless you can find the room that they picture on their website.

We stayed here from 10/16/2013 to 10/20/2013. We had a different location reserved, (a large chain) but after reading bad reviews, got rid of the reservations and reserved here instead. The room was CLEAN and COMFORTABLE! As stated in other reviews, the furniture was old, but functional and most important, CLEAN! The owner was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She also spent a lot of time with us, telling us the best places to eat, and where we should visit while in town. And I forgot to mention how QUIET is was here. The building is mostly cinder block, even between the rooms, so you couldn't hear a thing going on in the other rooms. No bumping, voices, or any other noise that you would normally hear coming from the room next door. All the rooms have windows with screens that you can open for fresh air, and there is a small sitting area underneath a large Magnolia tree in the front. I also spied furniture and a swing in the back. Coffee, orange juice, bagels, and honey buns are served in the morning. There are several nice places to eat nearby also.

This is what a budget hotel is suppose to be. I checked in and the lady was polite and extremely nice. The grounds were well kept and there was plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors. The room was very clean but decor was dated but who cares as long as everything works. The breakfast was lacking but for the price I saved on the room I went and had a nice lunch down the street.

We had a lovely room with a king-sized bed, mini fridge and microwave. The TV was very small but it sufficed. When we arrived, the windows were open to let the room air out. It never had the " motel smell " that some places have. Amitra at the desk was very friendly, even offering to move her car so that we could park closer to our room. This little beauty is a hidden gem. It could do with some potted plants hanging from the many hooks, but GA in July makes even the greenest thumb turn brown. We enjoyed our stay and would go there again.
