What a lovely surprise. My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights, and this was beyond our expectations. We stayed in one of the suites with a murphy bed, which was comfortable and the wall slide closed which provided a bit of privacy. The bathroom was sparkling clean and beautiful, and the King Size bed was dreamy. The decoration in the room was exactly as was pictured. Due to COVID, there was no breakfast, but the Nest on the 3rd floor was very cute and stocked with sodas, water and coffee and other little extras. The Inn itself is gorgeous, and I could see this being the perfect spot for an engagement party, wedding or other event. If you're passing through Monroe and need a place to stay - don't pass this up. I would also be remiss not to mention how great the proprietors are. I left a piece of jewelry behind, and they located it and mailed it to me right away. Also - they were always available by telephone and were very responsive to our needs and requests

This place was great. Charming, and they thought of everything you could think of. We have 4 kids, and the rooms were fine. Kids loved the grounds, and Kimberly was very gracious. Highly recommended and would love to come back for an anniversary or just to explore the town more.

Our experience was awful. There is no host or hostess, no greeter, and no breakfast. It is a sad excuse for a B&B. The owner tried to put all the blame on COVID, however, no limitations were mentioned at booking. Save your money and stay at a hotel, at least you will get coffee and something for breakfast.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay. While we wish we could serve breakfast like we have in the past, we are no longer a bed and breakfast, but an inn. We have reduced our rates to account for the change since March. We have also removed all mention of breakfast on our website and on our booking engine. It clearly states there is no breakfast included in the rate. This is very sad to us, as we LOVED serving breakfast and getting to know our guests each morning. Since our inception 8 years ago, we have always been an automated property and do not have staff on site everyday. We do still offer coffee and tea service in each suite for you to enjoy and there is also a hospitality area on the 3rd floor filled with snacks and drinks for all guests to help themselves. Before the virus, things were very different and we hope to go back to that level of service when things get back to normal. We would love to have you back when life normalizes.

We loved this beautiful inn the first time we stayed and their breakfast was wonderful! However, our second stay left much to be desired. Our tv didn’t work and my bedside lamp was burned out. No breakfast due to COVID, but a big pot of coffee downstairs or in the snack area would have been much appreciated at these prices.

Thank you for your review of the inn - we always appreciate our returners! And yes, no breakfast service is sad to me. There is no way our little inn can accommodate all the 39 new requirements of the Health Dept. - we just don't have the staff for it at the moment, so to keep everyone safe, guests and staff, we have opted out of breakfast service and lowered our rates taking that in to consideration. To me, breakfast is the BEST part of the stay - we get face to face time with our guests and who doesn't love a hot, yummy breakfast? :) It's sad, indeed. We do have a system for bulb and battery replacement in each suite - a phone call would have had it fixed in ten minutes, but unfortunately, I didn't see your email in time to help you in the moment. Our apologies! I hope the discount I gave you at checkout for the inconvenience helped in that area. And for your coffee or tea needs at any time, we have the service in your room and also in the hospitality area - all single service of course -keeping everyone safe at the inn. We hope you will return to the Inn for another visit but until them, stay safe!

Beautiful place that is decorated perfectly. I have stayed at other BnB type inns and this is the best one by far. Style, elegance, and comfort were matched perfectly in this 130 year old home. Will definitely come back!
