This is a fantastic little guesthouse 1.5km ish above the village of Morija. All of the staff were really friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The electric blanket was amazing in the cold nights of winter. The lodge is primarily self-catering although there is the option to get breakfast, lunch, dinner - at an extra cost. There is a very well run supermarket in the village however which serves a variety of foods so it's straightforward to cook yourself. One fantastic touch from this place is the excellent 'backpacker discount' you get if you arrive by public transport. The rate is about 250r per night, regardless of the room. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here. There are also really frequent shared taxis that go back and forth from Maseru (Sefika taxi rank) so getting here via public transport was very straightforward. …
We only had 2 nights in Lesotho but couldn't have chosen a better place. Brigitte and her staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful. Don't miss the walk up to the dinosaur footprints, which also gives you great views across Morija below. Even better, if you have a day take a hike up to the plateau - it is like a different world up there and views all around. The accommodation is simple but comfortable. Winter is cold at night but the log fire kept us wonderfully warm in the evening (as well as electric blankets). The winter days are perfect - crisp clear and sunny, great hiking weather. Also do pop into Lesotho's only museum, situated in Morija - it only needs 30 minutes to an hour but gives a good insight to the country.
This guesthouse is located on top of the hill In the small village of Morija. A bit difficult to find the first time. From the terrace a wonderful view on the mountains and part of the small village. We stayed here during two nights! Rooms small but comfortable. Even electric blankets during wintertime! Great! Enjoyed the home cooked dinner and breakfasts. Thanks to all the staff for a great stay & thank you Tibo for all the stories about Lesotho and the feeling 'being safe' there.
This place is nestled at the top of a hill right underneath a beautiful mountain that you can walk up from the guest house. Amazing food, lovely service from Bridget, and beautiful accommodations!! I cannot more highly recommend this place.
This guest house could not be better. It is set beautifully in the mountains. It is a low price for such a beautiful place. All the staff was great as well. Kefuoe Namane is the amazing horse riding guide. We did an overnight horse riding trip in the mountains. This is a once in a lifetime experience! Climbing those mountains on horse back, galloping on the plateau, staying overnight in the traditional village... this trip is worth going to Lesotho for in itself!!
