What a great location in downtown LaGrange! The hotel is very clean and modern. We were fortune enough to be able to watch the prom pictures on them church steps and downtown by park from our windows! Could walk to unique shops, an assortment of restaurants and a cool beer garden. Will definitely return next time we are traveling this way!
Nice well appointed hotel in Downtown LaGrange. The hotel was extremely clean both in the lobby and the hotel room. The bed was extremely comfortable and allowed for a great nights sleep The BIG disappointment was the Bistro restaurant. I had planned to have breakfast prior to my first meeting. Unfortunately after waiting some 15+ minutes without being able to place my order, I was forced to skip having breakfast. Please note there was only 2 people in line ahead of me If breakfast is important you should definitely prepare to have plenty of time otherwise you may be forced to do without
Not what I expected for a Marriott Property. SERIOUS cleaning issues. At the end of my day, I decided to watch TV. The remote control was in bag to give the appearance of being sanitized. I Open the container and remove the remote control as I was using the remote control I felt something on the back of the remote control. I turned it over and it was a piece of freshly chew chewing gum. Needless to say with Covid I freaked. It Could’ve been somebody with bad intent who left this or was it just a joke? Either way it was overlooked by the housekeeping department. Because I now questioned the cleanliness of my room I felt the only way to feel comfortable was for me to go and purchase my own cleaning supplies and sanitizers and clean my room. I notified LaMarcus at the front desk and I also asked for a general managers card. I sent Ms Lee an email. But even after my five day visit there, there was no response from management. There were other areas in the room that should have special attention to detailed cleaning due to COVID-19 that were substandard. Photos included. There was no in room coffee. I was told it was because they couldn’t get regular coffee. I asked for a coffee maker and decaffeinated coffee if that’s all they had. They delivered a coffee maker, 2 servings of decaffeinated coffee. No creamers. They did however have coffee available downstairs for $3.25 or $3.78 depending on when you purchase it I guess. There also was no microwave. Had to request one for my room. On the up note, the employees I did come in contact with were amazing. The lady at WOS Starbucks remembered my name the second time down. Impressive!! La Marcus at checkin and Marton ( I hope that’s correct) was great, friendly and very courteous. ( he was the gentleman who checked me out on Tuesday morning around 6:30 AM.) I had several interactions with him, always left me smiling. This visit was not what I expected from a Marriott Hotel and may not return to this hotel.…
Tashawna was the front desk clerk was so helpful and nice she really made me feel so welcome there was also a lady by the name of Jackie she was sooooooo friendly and she made sure I had all I needed.
Pre-booking I requested a high floor through Marriott.com. It was ignored which was fine as we were placed on the 2nd floor. It was really close to the elevator and across from the ice machine, but the hotel was mostly empty. The bad part was we were placed beneath some semi-permanent residents right above us on the 3rd floor. They were partying or wrestling until 2am when I called the front desk. The front desk was not surprised for some reason and they said call back in 5 or 10 mins if not resolved. They finally settled down around 3am, but it was completely ridiculous. We never even got an apology from anyone. I don't understand why we were even placed in a room with people above when the hotel was empty.
