My husband and I booked online through their website. We were looking for a low key laid back change of pace from a really stressful month. This was our first stay at the hotel and Jekyll Island and I was hoping it would be a pleasant visit. Honestly, the hotel exceeded our expectations from the staff to our room. We were greeted by Wil, who provided us with general information about the island as well as places to eat and visit. At various times during our visit, we met with Wil, Mel, Michaela, as well as a nice lady from housekeeping regarding small matters and they were all professional, friendly, attentive and handled things quickly. We had a great view from our nice room, and it was steps away from the sandy beach; we also appreciated the fire pit and happy hour. We travel A LOT and always appreciate the people and places that enrich our lives, during these stressful times. Thanks for making our stay truly refreshing and wonderful!…
Headed to the Island from Hilton Head! It was. a great experience from shark tooth beach to driftwood beach, the wanderer memory trail, the turtle rehab center. Loved seeing the dogs and bikes everywhere — people on site and at restaurants were so friendly. But If you need a reason to come! it’s Will! The front desk associate! He was like a personal concierge to us throughout our stay! I should have known it would be great when I spoke to him over the phone to make the reservation! He was so accommodating! We brought out big dog too and he greeted him like a true guest. From ensuring we had the right room for our family to setting us up with towels, blankets and giving tips on where to eat and go! He is Awesome. (Places to dine: sunrise for breakfast, Zachrys river house for dinner, and driftwood bistro.) Note: Room is very clean—not a motel, nice quality venue with style . Fire pit. Happy hour in lobby and snacks. We would stay again!! And again. …
First trip away since onset of Covid and we were expecting a room that seemed more "sanitized" than what we got. We found that the patio was a mess & furniture needed a good cleaning. This was late in the season but would have liked to have used it but really couldn't without cleaning which we chose not to do. Room itself was clean but did not seem/smell like a real scrub down had been done. We used our sanitary wipes and went over everything and bottom shelves of furniture and other areas were pretty dusty. Perhaps the room had not been used in a while but knowing that they had guests coming in, it should have been cleaned/freshened. Floors were clean but baseboards & corners needed attention. Linens seemed fresh. However, check in was quick, front desk gentleman was very nice and helpful, and we had a comfortable stay. Other pros were that we were able to have our small dog with us, there was beach access just a short jaunt from the backdoor of room and the hotel location on the island was great. No housekeeping during our stay which we knew and expected but we could get fresh towels and trash pick up outside our door which was convenient. We would consider staying there again.…
Stayed for a 3 day visit around Christmas for a nature-based getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. From an overview at check in to being personally walked to and shown to the room. Periodic texts make sure you have everything you need. They even prepped breakfast bags since most everything was closed Christmas morning. The location is right on the beach with easy access to the bike paths.
My family stayed here while at the Ga Farm Bureau Convention. We had a room with a balcony & overlook for the pool along with a magnificent sunrise. The adjacent restaurant had excellent food, especially the breakfast. It was a nice laid back property for stay on Georgia's jewel. Big thanks to Will for all his & the rest of the staff's help. Definitely will be back!
