Great location, very close to the beach and to jogging places. Perfect conditions to keep social distance even at beach. Joseph- front desk clerk was doing above and beyond to show his appreciation and making this stay exceptional. Housekeeping representative helped us to repair to fix annoying issue with our personal equipment. Just few fits from our room located restaurant "Beach house" with fresh and tasty food.
I was warmly welcomed by staff. So was my cat. My room was near the walkway to the beach and the pool. It was clean, the friendly and helpful staff went iut of their way to make sure I was comfortable.
The location is perfect for a visit to Jekyll Island but I was not impressed with the room or the staff in the restaurant. The room was standard decor but the carpet around the window was wet due to a faulty AC unit. We were not moved into another room but the front desk clerk, Joseph, made certain we were compensated for the less-than-ideal room. Joseph was actually the nicest employee we encountered at this hotel. We had two different servers in the hotel's restaurant (one for dinner and one for breakfast) and both were visibly annoyed about something. We engaged each server in conversation to try to lighten their mood which seemed to work. Perhaps the strain of a pandemic is the cause of irritability but honestly we expected better service from resort staff. We'd like to visit JI again and may give this hotel another try.…
Whenever I visit Jekyll Island with my family, we always stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, it's right on the beach and it's only a 5min walk (with kids in tow!) to the water. The oversized suites are great for young families, and my kids love the bunk beds in the kids suite. It's nice and quiet at the resort and we love seeing the wildlife (deer, sea turtles, etc.) The pool is a nice place to spend time with the kids as well, and the outdoor bar is perfect to grab a quick drink or snack. The staff at the resort are always friendly, especially at the front desk. And are always helpful. We requested extra towels and toiletries and they brought them up right away! Highly recommend this place to stay at if you're looking for a quick getaway from Atlanta!
Visited Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island twice this summer. We love the beautiful location and oceanfront rooms. Beds are very comfy and rooms were extremely clean. The live music at the pool is a wonderful touch.
