Returning customers of many, many times. We always stay in “The Creek” cabin and loved it just as much as ever. Our friends from Ohio met us here this time, and they enjoyed their visit as well. There is direct access to the Appalachian Trail right from the campground, which makes the stay even more appealing. We hiked it twice, even with rain on the first day. All good. Big snaps to the new customer service girl at the front desk, Mary. She is warm and inviting, even bringing us a stick of butter and salt & pepper when we realized we had forgotten to bring any. Kind gestures such as this really make a stay memorable. Five enthusiastic stars for our favorite mountain retreat. Quiet, peaceful fun nestled in the beauty of nature at its finest.

Dirty cabins, NO attention to details. Seriously could be so nice, but except for the natural, nature of it and one of the volunteers, Mary, it’s lacking in every area. Bath houses need some bleach and new shower curtains too. Hot water is an issue some days too. Prices different online vs when paying directly....Which is absolutely ridiculous after 11 months! Had a volunteer enter our friends cabin and go through her suitcase too... Wish I could have left a wonderful review, I really do! Just can’t.

The Cheyenne smelled musty, the linen on the beds were dirty, there were spider webs all over. To make matters worse, the manager basically accused me of lying when she asked me if I notified them that I would be bringing my dogs. When I told her yes I paid for my dogs to stay, she replied, "Really, are you sure?" After I told her how much I paid for them to come, she then paused and counted in her head and said, "yep, that's the right amount." As if I had been lying all along. I did not appreciate that and will not be back. Besides, the cabin is highly overpriced for the quality.

We called and asked about their trout pond. They said it was open and running. When we got there we are told that kids have been feeding the trouts all day long. The pond was tiny tiny, kids around still throwing food. So trouts were not interested at all. They say the focusing poles and the bait was included, the fishing poles are in terrible condition, not usable. Then they said to us to see the other beautiful areas they have... went to the farm and we didn’t even go in because it looked so ragged that it wasn’t worth it. Then we went to the playground... I have really nothing good to say about it. Only a young lady at the front desk was nice, the other lady looked tired and was not very nice. I wouldn’t wast time and money.
