The Heidi motel is located in down town and is one of the most Photographed building in Helen, GA and is one of the landmarks to the town and also are currently the only Motel in this area that you can actually stay in a windmill. We do not do a Breakfast due to the fact that we are across from Bettys country store and 2 buildings down from Hoffers Bakery which we recommend to all our guest to go for a great German breakfast and lunch. We have no pool due to the fact that we are so close to the river and that there are 2 water parks in town. We are American owned and operated and live on site. We work very hard to make your stay great and really appreciate your business. Thanks Chad Jackson

This Motel is Awesome!! Wanda, at the front desk was a great help. We came into town the day before and had a terrible experience at a motel nearby. She was MORE than accommodating, she allowed us to check out the room 1st. The room is lovely and nice and clean. It has a beautiful view of the town, and is only a short walking distance to all the nearby attractions. We will definitely stay hear again.

This place was EVERYTHING!!! How cool is it to say that you stayed in a windmill???!!!We stayed in the full sized hot tub suite, and I cannot find enough words to adequately describe how beautiful and spacious our room was. It was clean, comfortable, and more beautiful than the pictures could have ever depicted. The hotel is near everything so walking to different restaurants and attractions was convenient. Everyone was so nice and courteous. My husband and I will DEFINITELY stay there again.

We had visited Helen the month before, and knew we wanted to stay at the Heidi when we returned. The room was very comfortable, shower was great, staff was super helpful. And of course the view is spectacular! We will definitely be back!

We made a reservation in advance at this hotel at booking.com for the 24th of December till 26th of December. We came there on the 24th of December, but at the reception we were told that in their system we have a reservation for the 2d of January till 4th of January. And they cant cancel it. We payed for 2 nights using booking.com $181 including taxes. At the reception they started offering us another last room with higher rate. 220$ plus taxes for two nights or 142$ for one night! It was insane. We talked to the main manager of hotel on the phone (She never apologized for inconvenience!!!) She just offered us this ridiculous prices! As a result we had to call booking.com because we could be charged for not checking in in our room. We spend at least an hour trying to figure out all this nonsense. booking.com told us that it is a hotels mistake. All reservation dates were right in their system and in our app on the phone. So, guess what happened next? One guy came to the office (he didnt even say hello), were were outside waiting for the result, then he just came out, and said either we take the room for this price or we are free to go find another hotel. That is it! No apologies! No complementary package. We have never such greedy and irresponsible management. They dont care about their guests at all! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone! Go to another one! Save your money and nerves because in case it happen to you they will just kick you out!

Response from Chad J, Owner at Heidi Motel
Responded Dec 26, 2019
Your booking was sent to us for Jan 2nd we have no control how they are sent over. The lady at front desk even told you we can match the price of the $181 but that was not good enough for you. There is no reason to cuss at my front desk help and manager and make my front desk help cry. Christmas eve is a great time for family and loved ones but you lost all my respect and I was not going to work with some one that would be rude to a young lady that was just doing her job.

Great little place to stay when visiting Helen Ga. Walking distance to downtown. Very clean. The beds are a little high, so having mobility issues I found it difficult to get into bed, but I managed ok. I would defiantly stay there when coming back to Helen. Only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because it needs a little updating, but never the less it was very comfortable and clean.
