Pet Friendly - Bear Creek Lodge and Cabins in Helen Ga is located 3 blocks walking distance to Downtown Helen on 9 acres with over 300 ft. of Trout Fishing, River Tubing waterfront on the Chattahoochee River. We have some Cabins on the River and others quietly tucked into the mountain and valley that surrounds the fun and lively town of Helen. Most guests at Bear Creek just walk into town (it takes about 5 minutes). Trails connect all cabins to the riverfront area where guests can enjoy Horse Shoes, Corn Hole, Bubbles and more with Hammock Chairs along the river. We have Bikes, River Tubes, Riverside Grills, Fire Pits and free Fire Wood. Most cabins have a Private Hot Tub and ALL cabins have WIFI, ROKU TV's and a Blackstone Flat Top Gas Grill on their deck as well :) We always allow your "4 legged" friends to bring you on vacation with them :) We've found that once you stay at Bear Creek Lodge and Cabins, you will return someday!

My mom and I booked the 1928 Cabin for a getaway after my dad died. We arrived at night and the gas fireplace was nice but the cold draft under the gas stove in the kitchen was not. The ceilings in the King bedroom were quite low and the mattress sagged in the middle. The worst aspect of our stay though was the constantly barking hound dogs which belong to Pam, the Owner. When I asked via text for a partial refund since my mom and I left a day early, Pam texted that she would give me a credit on a future stay. So, she earned an extra $400.00 while I lost my money since we were not enjoying the ramshackle cabin or the nuisance of her large dogs baying at all hours. I would not suggest this place as a vacation rental unless you like dilapidated, outdated shacks and loud dogs.…

Your experience with our Cabins was very unfortunate during an artic chill this state hasn't seen in 100 years. We are very sorry the same cabin others have given a 5 star review for many years did not meet your expectations. Being a pet friendly property, that offered you to be able to travel with cats, does include dogs as well. I'm very sorry our dogs were a distraction for you. That is not a normal concern.

We spent 5 nights in the Riverview cabin and absolutely loved it! Pam and Earl are wonderful hosts and have really gone out of their way to make give their guests an enjoyable stay. A private beach on the river with corn hole, a giant chess board, and other games. They even provide tubes and push-sticks for floating the river so you don't have to pay the high prices of the local tubing companies. They regularly get-togethers at the beach for their friends with catered food, drinks and live music - and their cabin guests are welcome to join. It's not long before you're making friends too. The cabins are a short walk from town, or you can use the bikes they provide. There's even an abandoned gold mine and waterfall on their property that you can hike to. The Riverview cabin feels rustic but is wonderfully appointed and has everything you could need: TV, internet, full kitchen, microwave, full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, games, books, and a hot tub on the porch. You feel like you're really isolated but you're just a short walk to everything. Pam and Earl are incredible hosts and really go out of their way to take care of you. And when they say "pet friendly", they really mean it! Even cats are welcome! I can't think of a better place to stay in Helen.…

The owner Pam took us to our cabin and explained everything. The cabin was cozy and perfect for us! There is a Blackstone grill that we used to make breakfast. The bed is very comfortable and slept well. Everything in the cabin was clean! There were multiple appliances for guest use, including an Instapot. Firewood was available for use. There is not a fireplace in our Hilltop cabin but there is a fire pit outside. I would definitely stay here again!

We had an awesome time at the treehouse at Bear creek lodge. The location is perfect (if you don’t mind lots of stairs). We had pretty easy access to the river front which had lots of things to do: free tubes, bikes, bubbles, fire pits and more. Great place for kids to play in. Then there is a hikeing trail out there back to a waterfall. The house had everything you could want : full kitchen, great ambiance of being up in the trees, fireplace, hot tub, rocking chairs on porch to enjoy morning coffee. It was a Quick drive to downtown Helen. If your in need of rations Betty’s market has everything and is super quaint. This place will always hold a special place in our memories and can’t wait to go back. Adventure in the woods, yet have all your amenities. You can have your cake and eat it too. Bear Creek Cabins in Helen GA offers the best location and friendly ownership. The cabin was excellent, clean, and fully stocked with what we needed. Pam and Earl were fantastic hosts who went out of their way to help when we had a flat tire. The river location was fantastic to meet other people and for the kids to play. We loved our experience.

We love this place!! We go with three families every year for Memorial Day and rent 3 cabins right next to each other. The kids (and adults) love tubing all day - and swinging in the swings over the river. We can walk to downtown and the fun zone. Pam and Earl are the BEST hosts and the Friday night music and fire pit is a BLAST!

Quaint small cabin. Basics were provided-towels, doses etc. nothing fancy. Has trouble finding the cabin aNd we did not get a call back until the next day from the “emergency” number. We just kept trying empty cabins! Make sure you get a cabin number!!!! Check in and out was super easy. Not sure we would stay here again , would go for cabin by water with a little more space. TV and internet is hit or miss at best - we could have used some tv after 2 days of rain!

Thanks for a great review... BUT LOL... you did not stay at my Cabins... I think you may have stayed at a cabin with a Bear name, just not at Bear Creek Lodge and Cabins. We don't have any numbered Cabins and also do not have an emergency number. We meet every guest on arrival and personally bring them to their Cabins. Maybe next time stay with us :)

My wife and I stayed at the Hilltop Cabin and it was the perfect size for the bother of us and out 3 4-legged kids! Pam and Earl are awesome hosts and very responsive. The cabins are located right by a trail west hat will take you to a beautiful waterfall and gold mine (cave). This is perfect for those who like to hike. Will be looking forward to staying at their cabins again! :)

We just left after spending 4 nights in the treehouse! We LOVED it! We are a family of 5 with 3 boys ages 11, 11, and 5. First, Pam and Earl are the most amazing hosts! They met us upon arrival, gave us the lay of the land and made us feel right at home. The walk to the cabin is a bit of a walk but very doable. And it helps burn off allllll the food you’re going to eat while in Helen. It rained the first day and a half and the cabin had a laminated sheet of rainy day activities. We went straight to Betty’s market (adorable little grocery store). We made pancakes on the outdoor griddle every morning. And enjoyed some local desserts every night. They have tubes and bikes to use and lots of fun little activities for kids right by the riverfront. We didn’t get to use the tubes and bikes as we were so busy every day but Pam and Earl host a wonderful party on Wednesday nights. Amazing live music, food, drinks, lots of very interesting locals who gave us great tips on things to do and places to eat. We sat by the river, did bubbles, hung out in the riverfront hammocks. You can walk to downtown Helen from the cabins. We drove most of the time bc we exhausted our kids with hikes almost every day. We highly recommend Bear Creek and thank Pam and Earl for a wonderful mountain vacation with the family.…

Tree House Review From the beginning, Pam was a great host. She gave us the walk through of our cabin and all the important highlights. She was easy to communicate with via text with any issues that came up. The cabin was pristine. We were in the great outdoors. Every morning we could hear the song birds chirping outside. Very nice rocking chairs to enjoy the morning sunrise. The porch has a cast iron gas grill which was very easy to use even for a novice. We did steak one night and it turned out great. The inside cabin has the woody outdoor decor. The curtains were held open by the glam-py tree branch fixtures. The cabin also has touches of modern convenience with flat screen TV, roku, microwave, stove top, Margarita mixer, state of the art refrigerator, and WiFi. The bathrooms were furnished with soap. Remember to bring your own shampoo and extra towels if you are staying more than 3 days. The kids favorite amenity was the spa tub that we used even in July. Additional perks was the campfire fairy garden waterfall near the cabin parking. We did s’mores 2 nights in a row. Great memories made😋. One evening even included live band. What a joy. I enjoyed the easy walk to the Chattahoochee River adjacent to the property where you can use their tubes to do your own easy 2.5 minute water adventure 🧿. The location is great for downtown stroll, just a short 10 minute walk to the Main Street strip. Betty’s grocery store is nearby to get all your supplies you may have forgotten.…
