This was our first experience at a B&B. We are so glad too that we choose to stay here rather a than hotel for our Okefenokee adventure. Alease & Ted have such a sweet spirit that made it so much more enjoyable & our conversations with them. They were very accommodating especially with breakfast since 1 of us is diabetic & also as to a time if needed to leave early. The food was very good, & the extras such as snacks, microwave, & a dorm fridge in hallway came in handy. The room & home has air condition & very spacious. Also had a coffee maker if u desired such. If u enjoy books there are plenty to look at as well as TV in the living room. We ate first evening at the Thai restaurant that Ted suggested earlier & found it to be very good. The next evening we ordered take out & ate on the veranda which seemed to be our favorite place. It's big & has rockers, swing, couches, table & chairs. We had no problem receiving service for our phones or parking our truck. All in all, we found this place to be reasonably priced, clean, beds very comfortable, very relaxing & quiet, & safe that we hated getting back to the real world.

I would definitely recommend the Inn at Folkston to experience life in a small town in the rural south, the train viewing platform of the Folkston Funnel, or to visit the nearby Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. The owners of the Inn, Ted and Alease, were so kind and made us feel very comfortable in their home. They were accommodating with our vegan diet and served us the most deliciously seasoned oatmeal with local fresh fruit. After breakfast they gave us the history of the Inn as well as a tour. We ate our dinner the night before on the beautiful and large front porch and enjoyed the sound of trains passing through town. The Inn was constructed of local wood, and the beautiful interior was completely finished with that same wood. Since they are located on Main St., it is an easy walk to the quaint and charming downtown Folkston, the train viewing platform, or to pick up a meal at the local Thai restaurant.

My wife and stayed in the Folkston Funnel room one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Ted and Alease, the owners, are welcoming and loving people who will strive to make your visit enjoyable. Our room was spotless , spacious and comfortable. The en-suite was also spotless, spacious and fully stocked with all our needs. Ted accommodated my wife's dietary needs beautifully and fed us the most amazing breakfast of organic, fresh, local items. The coffee is wonderful! Check in and check out was seamless, and we thoroughly enjoyed Ted's company. The Inn has plenty of room, games available in the Living Room and feels like home. We are blessed to have met Ted & Alease and we look forward to seeing them again and enjoying the Inn at Folkston again.

We were working long days and wanted a quiet, comfortable place close to restaurants and the Okefenokee. The Inn far exceeded our needs. It's a quiet, lovely and relaxing place to unwind with an inviting front porch that makes you crave a cold iced tea. Ted and Alease are charming innkeepers who know how to make you feel at home. I don't normally eat much breakfast but I made an exception because Ted's homemade quiche and French toast were exquisite. They make a great cup of coffee, too.
We stayed in the Lighthouse room, which is spacious yet cozy - and has its own screened-in porch. The king bed is quite comfortable, and we appreciated the extra touches like two luggage holders, good lighting, a nice sized desk, and chairs.
The Inn is a very short walk to downtown Folkston, but quiet enough to feel like it's in the country. It's just a 15 minute drive from Okefenokee Adventure Park. Truly a gem in the region.

We stayed at the Inn in 2019 and returned this year to re-visit the Okeefenokee Swamp. This Inn is still fantastic. From the moment you arrive you are treated as if you simply live there. We stayed again in the Garden Room, which has a fireplace and jacuzzi tub, a comfy bed and a sitting room area. People traveling with us had two other rooms which were both terrific. Believe me, they have thought of EVERYTHING. They are charming hosts and the food is delicious!! All of the rooms are on the first floor and the entire Inn is accessible. A super wide porch is where guests meet and chat. You can't do better in any hotel.

We had an overnight flight across the country with no real sleep. Our hosts let us check-in early to the English Garden room where we soon fell asleep in the King Size comfortable bed. We had placed some groceries in the communal mini-fridge upon arrival. The Inn is quiet, our room was spatious, and the hosts were kind and helpful. They had cake available for guests in the afternoon and breakfast was delicious, made with local ingredients and for me, gluten - free with minimal dairy. We had beverages, fruit, waffles, bacon and local cane syrup. A wonderful introduction to Georgia!

Charming bed and breakfast in Folkston GA. rooms are uniquely and tastefully decorated: each has its own theme. Bedrooms are very comfortable. This inn distinguishes itself with hosts who are kind and attentive, they also serve perfect breakfasts in a beautiful dining room. The inn is conveniently located 10 minutes away from the Okefenokee park. I definitely recommend this bed and breakfast.

B&B's are our first choice for accommodations when we travel, and we have visited quite a few. There is a new #1 on our list-The Inn at Folkston. Innkeepers Alease and Ted are hospitable, professional, and friendly. We came away with new friends whom we hope to see again. Our room was very comfortable; the bed linens were ironed, which is the height of luxury in my book, and instead of a heavy, hot comforter, there was a lightweight cotton blanket and a cotton bedspread. The room was spacious, with plenty of space for suitcases and other belongings. We loved the screened porch that adjoined our room. The bath was spacious with more nice linens. The breakfasts were the best meals we had in the four days we were in the area. We would definitely visit again if we are in that area.

We met friends at the Inn at Folkston for the weekend. Throughout the process of reserving rooms and arrival Ted and Alease could not have been more thoughtful and helpful. Our rooms were spotless and completely charming and individually decorated. The breakfasts were superb and locally sourced. Their granddaughter had thoughtfully made menus for us all (she's 6). The other guests were great fun and diverse locations. Sleeping we barely heard the trains. And listen to Ted's recommendations for dining, they are spot on. We loved it!

We felt so fortunate to have chosen the Inn at Folkston to stay on our way to Atlanta. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived! Both Alease and Ted are warm and interesting and we wished we had had more time to linger to talk longer. Our room (which Alease upgraded us at no additional charge) was roomy and comfortable. The front porch is exactly what you’d want to relax on and watch the world go by while sitting in one of the rockers or on the porch swing. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and graciously prepared a bit earlier to accommodate our need to leave early to beat the heat as we were on a motorcycle. We walked to the recommended Thai restaurant and had a nice dinner there. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and we are planning on making it a point to come back! Jan & Fred
