We loved every minute of our stay at the Dorminy-Massee House. The grounds are gorgeous and the house is decorated beautifully. Sherry our hostess served a beautiful breakfast in the dining room each morning and we had waters and soft drinks in a refrigerator upstairs. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. Sherry had placed "often forgotten" items in the hall such as reading glasses and earplugs and toothpaste...very nice touch. There is a lot of historical information in the house to get to know this small Georgia town better. Sherry is also a knowledgeable local. We will definitely go back and there is no place else we would stay in Fitzgerald! Thanks Sherry!

My girlfriend and I were passing through and I thought that it would be a good idea to stay the night in an old style bed and breakfast. We were incredibly shocked at the reasonable rates, and just how accommodating our hosts were. The historic background of each room is drawn out in a pamphlet the hosts provide, in painstaking detail. As a lover of history I appreciated this and the good service. Beautiful home with modern accommodations.

A Rare Gem! A traditional B&B with incredible Southern Hospitality.
We had the pleasure of staying at Dorminy-Massee House B&B for two nights in early September.
The entire stay was flawless with a wonderful dose of true Southern hospitality from hosts Mark and Sherry.
Our room was appointed beautifully with all furnishings and amenities thoughtfully put together and extremely comfortable.
When travelling one often forgets certain supplies e.g.: nail polish remover, at Dorminy- Massee we can assure that Sherry would have already thought of it and provided it ready for guests to feel fully welcome.
The house is gorgeous with a rich history as is the town of Fitzgerald, definitely worth getting off the highway to visit.
A lovely light breakfast is provided and includes in house daily baked cake which on the days we were there was absolutely delicious.
This is a home and a traditional B&B so unlike other AirBNBs you will not be able to book the same way.
We suggest you email Sherry a day or two in advance of arrival.
Our only disappointment was we couldn’t stay for longer, but there will definitely be a next time.

We've actually stayed here twice in the last month while dealing with family business. The charming hosts were gracious, accommodating and made us feel very welcome at The Dorminy-Massee House. The rooms were meticulously clean - in fact the entire house and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, and this is the perfect place to relax in a quiet, peaceful environment at the end of the day. We'll definitely stay here whenever we visit Fitzgerald.

Sherry was a gracious hostess, worked us in at the last minute, and prepared a beautiful breakfast the next morning. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend a stay at this B&B. The house and grounds were pleasant to explore and we enjoyed our visit to the Blue & Gray Museum and dining in the historic downtown. My wife and I had the most tranquil and enjoyable stay while visiting Fitzgerald last weekend. We relaxed on the front porch rocking chairs, strolled down Central Ave to grab a pizza and had a late night coffee in the sitting room. This grand home was a relaxing and enchanting experience for us with its comfortable rooms, beautiful grounds and old Southern charm. Our hosts, Sherry and Mark were very kind and accommodating which added to the comfort of our stay. Our weekend at the Dorminy-Massee House was filled with fond memories and I can't wait to come back for another visit.

Perfect in every way! A visit to town for a family wedding turned into much needed relaxation at this lovely home. The front porch and side gardens were a great place to enjoy coffee, both mornings and evenings. The neighborhood and surrounding downtown offered ample opportunity for walks. I also enjoyed the entertainment of the beautiful and intriguing wild chickens that roam the town, and the soothing sound of the train whistle in the near distance. ♥️

Our stay at The Dorminy-Massee House was excellent! We spent the late afternoon enjoying the rockers on the front porch (best seats in the house). The interior of the home is amazing, and the owners are just as lovely. The room we stayed in had a King bed (great mattress) and plenty of room. We were in town to uncover some family (Harper/McMillan) history - Sherry and Mark were very helpful with local history. If you find yourself in this part of Georgia, you will definetely want to stay at The Dorminy-Massee House!

Had a wonderful stay with Sherry and Mark. They were not expecting any guests the night we stayed. In fact they about an hour away. They said it was ok to sit on the porch with a bottle of wine until they got home. The room was spotless! Breakfast the next morning was delicious. All in all a wonderful stay.
