Nice staff, but terrible location. Immediately adjacent to the hotel is a big tent circus type show with VERY loud speakers and motorcycles. The show runs every night until 10 pm. It is so loud the windows in your room rattle. Not the fault of the hotel, they don't have any control over it, but it makes the hotel a terrible place to stay, at least for the evening hours. As for the rooms, they are clean, but not tight. Spaces under the doors and the windows in the bathroom don't close so flying insects come in As well as the occasional gecko. Not really bad, except for mosquitoes since its in the malaria zone. Just remember you're in a developing country, not a developed country. The level of care, cleanliness, and service is on par with the location.
The hotel offers quite rooms and staff is helpfull to organize Ecotours within the departments of Guaviare and Meta. Most of the guests are Colombians what I enjoyed. Not that much of foreigners like in the big Cities like Bogota and Medellin or the main touristic hotspots like Cartagena. Pure nature. They helped me to organize 3 tours. Friendly staff.
The hotel is Close to the Airport and is also offering facilities for business Advents. Room Quality differents widely dependent from where they locate you. Nevertheless I would go back to this hotel my next time in San Jose del Guaviare, which is a prettty small town for ist own..
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel on business. The rooms are nice, large, and clean. Air conditioning is good. It has a nice pool which I did not use. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is good, and it probably is the best hotel in San Jose del Guaviare. The power did go on and off during rainstorms, and the internet is not good except in the lobby. The main problem I had with the hotel is I got food poisoning from the restaurant where we ate almost all our meals associated with 3 days of workshops. Four other people in my group also became ill. I think maybe some kitchen practices are unclean, so be careful. Visited in September 2015.
Right across from the crumbling airport, this hotel is your best bet in SJG. Don't worry about noise from airplanes: there's only one commercial flight per day, and other flights are very occasional, most definitely NOT at night. The hotel itself is nothing fancy, but has comfortable and clean rooms, most with a balcony overlooking the hotel pool and a nearby park. Wifi is free but almost useless: simply buy a Movistar SIM card for your phone and charge it with a cheap prepaid data plan. Breakfast is decent and cheap (not included in your room).
