We spent 5 days at El Viajero hostel on San Andres and at first sight it looked nice. Its big, Nice and clean rooms and good location. But then we met the staff behind in the reception and it was awful. They dont care for their jobs one bit. They are unfocused and unqualified. They are slow and speak spanish...

Certainly I can say El Viajero is the worst hostel I have been stayed. I booked a private room months before the date, I confirmed my reservation by email and also by telephone (4 days before arrival date) and then, when I arrived to the hostel, they just informed me the entire hostel was full and I would be moved...

A very organized and clean place, with kind staff and all services necessary. They organize activities and provide all info you might need. Not too noisy in the night. Ask a double blanket if you suffer for aircon cause in the night is pretty strong!

Unfortunately I can't recommend this hostel. The location is good and I met really nice travellers there but the hostel itself was not impressive. The staff seemed to be tired of their guests and was a bit grumpy. The breakfast was mainly sugar (White bread, cookies, cereals). Besides the roof top bar there were no common areas where people were...

Thanks for your review, we take very seriously your comments, so we will take note of the poor actitude of the staff. The breakfast is free, the fruits are imported from the main land, so they are very expensive. Please take in mind that this is an Island 1.000 kms away from the main land, so the internet is very...

El Viajero charges in comparison to other hostels a quiet expensive price of 54'000 cop (to compare in Medellin I only paid 20'000 cop). For that price I was expecting an excellent hostel but unfortunately there are quiet some lacks here: - Bathrooms stink so badly you cant even leave the door to the room open (stayed in 2 different...

Obviously not a luxurious hotel, but that's not what it pretends to be. We came with quite a large amount of people. The receptionist was probably the most relaxed (yes, we can call that slow) I have ever met throughout Colombia, but that wan't a big deal. The only thing that really bothered me was the internet connection. It didn't...

I am still trying to recover from the horrifying experience my friend and i had at El Viajero. We stayed in a private double room which had a safe with both a key and a code. At the first night we could not open the safe after entering the code, therefore we waited until the morning after when we were...

The rooms are worth the price, but the wi-fi won't reach it. For wi-fi you have to be in common areas that don't have air con. Breakfast is good. Attendants are friendly. Unclear information in website.
