I was so happy here. First off, it's 1min walk to a stunning beach which is paradise. It wasn't ever too crowded, perfect sea and lovely white sand. A couple if places to eat and drink. The rooms are big, really good A/C (needed!), nice big kitchen, clean bathroom. The wifi is good (much better than expected) but for me it wasn't strong enough to download Netflix etc, so do that before you arrive. The hosts are lovely, friendly and super helpful. If you want to chat with them you can, if you don't they won't intrude. This is a great place to switch off and enjoy a delightfully simple break from life! It's a must!

This little spot is a wonderful alternative from the package deals that you find on the rest of the island. It is a little apartment to yourself on an island paradise, where you will find all of the white sand beaches and turquoise waters that you dream about or see in brochures. The nice thing is having your own little apartment to come home to - great A/C, comfy beds, a little kitchen you can do your own thing in, and a balcony that has a view of the ocean (Studio apartment, 180,000 pesos or 60$USD at the time, with space for 3 people). There are limited options in terms of food for dinner - lunch is no problem, but plan on cooking yourself or going into town for dinner. The hosts are lovely people, helpful but not intrusive at all. There are dogs who are pets of the owners, and there are the occasional wafts of that as you come in and out of your little retreat, but that would be easily fixed. Also might be nice to have a bit of a clean up at some point during a week-long stay. A very solid option on the island for budget travelling, privacy, and independence.

We got to know about the place through Karibik Dive Center. We stayed at the studio and we loved it. Nice veranda, close to Cocoplum beach and the supermarket and very convenient if you are diving with Karibik because Humberto lives close by and gives you a ride to the dive center every morning. There are nice restaurants around, though we didn't go to any, as we were so fond of just lazing in the veranda at night eating snacks and enjoying the breeze. Very nice place to be in touch with the locals and their way of life. Amalia, Werner, Humberto and everyone we met there were very nice and attentive. We would strongly recommend the place for diving enthusiasts.

Amalia (a San Andres native) and Werner (a German native) will prepare a home away from home for you in and around their house on this unique Island. A beautiful caribbean beach is just across the road and you can choose between a whole house apartments and single or double rooms in a nice garden setting. Air conditioning, fridge, cooking facilities and the friendly and caring help of your hosts make you feel at home.
